I just had to put my cat to sleep due to blindness and its hard for me, because hes older than i am!!!!! he's 17 years old and i've had him since he was born. he was just the sweetest cat ever and he was sort of my best friend. does anyone have any tips of how to make this pain go away??

i am going through the same thing my cat had kidney failure and she died in the vet i loved her and now i feel like i have lost a best friend. I had her for 5 years from the cats protection and she had a bad past her previous owners kicked her and things but i know she had a nice life with me.The best advice i can give you is not to think about it and try to read or work or listen to music it helps. My cat was on my bed every night and she loved only me so i know how you feel.my bed is lonely now
