ok, after everytime i masterbate, i feel really, really guilty...i wounder what my girlfriend would say if she had found out, i feel like it is a complete sin, and after everytime i do that, i feel that God punishes me, but he doesnt seem to punish other people i know do it... what should i think? is it ok, or should i try to stop?? HELP!!

i know you've already gotten nearly 30 responses so i'm sure anything by now seems overwhelmingly redundant, but i felt i had something to add. A vast majority (though not all) of the postings you received gave you generalizations about how "everyone does it". who cares whether everyone does or if you're all alone? if you feel guilty, then don't do it. But there are medical benefits from masturbating, and your girlfriend would probably notice through your moods and behavior if you ever stopped, even if she didn't know what caused the change. Not having ever masturbated, or been a guy, i can't tell you whether or not you should stop, and what the effects will be of either decision. but i can tell you this, my boyfriend told me he masturbates a few months ago, and it didn't really bother me. i'd rather him do that than be an angry uptight jerk all the time because of sexual tension or...whatever. but if your girlfriend is helping to relieve some of that tension, and she doesn't feel like you need to masturbate because of what she's doing to help that situation, then not stopping is somewhat of a slap in the face saying "yeah...you're ok, but my hand's better." so, consider your individual situation...ignore whichever advice doesn't make you happy, including mine if that's the case...and do whatever you think is best.
