Q: Okay well see my mom doesnt let me wear makeup...and im like 14yrs old! but shes always saying how im too young, when she has like no idea that a lot of the girls she sees at my school are like my age except that they look older because they wear makeup... like i just want to know anyways of making my face look better without actualy putting like a whole lot of makeup. or maybe the solution is to wear makeup?

Makeup is really useless. You have to keep checking it and re-applying, and it's gross. Plus, it causes acne, so in reality it makes your face look worse! Also, a lot of it is made from the bodies of defenseless animals.
I think your mother is right. Prostitutes wear a lot of makeup, and if you look like a prostitute, old men will try to pick you up! You don't want that, do you?
There are better ways than makeup. Here are the ones I can think of.
Jewlery-Doesn't have to be much. Earrings can bring shape to your face, and if you are wearing a shirt that makes your neck look long, a necklace takes care of that easily.
Hair-I find my face looks a lot thinner when I have it in pigtails. Dorky, but on some people (like me), it's quite cute. Try to find your own style.
Clothes-Believe it or not, the color shirt you are wearing has an effect on your face! Some colors will make your eyes look totally brilliant, others will make you look like you ate roadkill for breakfast and are about to barf it up.
Also, soap and hot water! Wash your face as many times a day as possible! If you have acne, I suggest this stuff called Klear Action. It's like that Proactiv stuff, but cheaper, and I know from experience that it works (if you follow the directions, of course).
Trust me. You don't want to look older. It seems far away, but in a few years you will be trying to look younger. Still, you want to look a little more mature, so consider what I talked about above.
