Firstly, I'm a guy so if you don't want to read my answer, stab your eyes.
I think that if he likes you, as you say, then there shouldn't be a problem. Or just, "do what feels right" that tends to work.
Also, I love that thing you do; combining articles and prepositions, or just doubling up on the prepositions. Awesome!
