Hi,
My baby rabbit just died from a heart problem :'( We knew she was gonna die because she was very ill, but we got her anyway because we wanted to give her the best life we could because we knew it would be short!! So, we got another rabbit with her. Now our baby rabbit has died, the other is soo lonley!! My mum wants another rabbit to keep her company but I'm not sure, I don't think I'm ready to have another one in her place just like that. Am I being selfish by not wanting another rabbit even though the other one is lonley? What should I do?
hey,
i'm sorry about your loss. You are DEFINATELY NOT being selfinsh. When something dies(animal, person,) you have to go through a grieving process before being rushed into getting another pet. My bunny died a year ago and i was rushed into getting another pet after only 10 days. I'm still in shock of it because i didn't have enough time to take in that she died. Even though i still had other pets at the time of loss, it was difffernt after she died. I think (personally) that you should calmly just explain to your mom that you are not ready. Maybe in a month or so you will be ready for another pet (if you feel this way) right now you Might not want a pet (i don't know) but after a little bit of time things will clear up and get better
hope i helped
best of wishes xo
