advice

16/f/ca. I've been in one beauty pageant in my whole life, and that was two years ago. Lately I've been thinking about doing more pageants and getting me involved. I really want to go into performing (especially commercial acting/modeling). Do you think this is a good way to gain experience in place of doing school plays/musicals (I hate our drama teacher/director with a passion...)? It was also a lot of fun the first time I did it. I'm not TOTALLY into winning...just as long as I have a good time with all the other girls, I'll be happy.

I guess my question is, do you think this is a good way to gain experience into the performing/acting field, or would it just be a waste of time?

Hey, well Im in the whole acting feild thing, and what i have to say is, doing pageants will boost your confidence which you need a LOT of in the industry, like crazy, you cant be shy, so itd be good for confidence, but anything else it wouldnt really help, look around your town for acting coaches/classes...or even plays, you can get a lot from it...hope i helped!
