If you really like this guy and want to get to know him, you should say hi to him in the halls and smile at him. It would also be a good idea to write him a note and tell him how you feel. If you want to know how he feels, then you should ask him in the note and ask him to write you back. When you see him in the hallways again, you can get the note from him and read it and you might find out that he feels the same way about you. Alot of people are very shy, but if you really wanna get to know someone you have to start talking to them and find some way to interact with them. You could also invite him to do something with you when you are both free, like over the weekend.
