i had this dog i loved and still do love, but some time ago it was killed by two really big and mean dogs my twin and i got this dog for a birthday gift from are parents because are really old dog died the thing is i really miss her and i just moved from Tx to Mass its not like my first move or anything its just i need to talk to someone about this and i cant talk to my family because they all miss hervery much too (link)

I would suggest getting yourself a cat as a transitional pet. It would be company for you without reminding you too much of your old dog. When you are ready for another dog (probably in a couple of years) you will be able to let it kill the cat, thus maintaining a single pet environment.
