i have a really close relationship with my friend mike he's not a boyfriend or anything and i dont see him that way at all, but he's like an older brother to me and ever since we became friends he has been. well, i USED to dress punk, and he does now too...and well im prep now but he hasnt seen me...im afraid that hes not gunna wanna be my friend anymore since im dressing prep, i mean maybe he still will but maybe he wont...i just have worries, what do i do?

to the young and the hopeless.
first off, mike is an older brother to you. if you chose to change then he should understand dispite your differences. if you are that close then a sudden change in the way you dress is not going to have an effect on the way he thinks of you. clothing is just a shell.. its a way to express yourself, and if you and him choose to dress differently, then so be it. that shouldnt change you twos close relationship. if he does have mixed feelings after he sees you then what kind of friend would that be just to judge you by your clothes. but im sure he will understand and like you as a sis for who you are, not how you dress
