i've been playing the guitar for almost 2 years now and i'm pretty good at it... my friends want to start a band but they need a bass player... i was thinking about becoming a bass player. has anyone here played guitar and then started playing bass? is there a big difference? how hard is it to play? and how badly will i get calisis on my fingers?

my dads been playin bass for 40 sumwhat years or watever... bass is alot like guitar, but it only has the lower notes on austic. bass has four strings (witch you prolly no) n also u havefta have a good ear to hear all the bass notes in songs (unless you get the musik) the difference is noticeable, but if you know the notes on the guitar, youll b fine at bass. itll b a challenge but the bass roxz. hope i helped ~nyladi~
