I usually give advice, but now I need advice...I'm gonna be a freshy in about 3 weeks and I want some tips (besides "be yourself") on making friends, my problem is that I'm REALLY shy and I always think I'm going to say something stupid. The h.s isn't that big (1,100 students) and all of my friends are going to this h.s, but if I don't have any of them in one of my classes I want to be able to meet new people..
Any tips would be greatly appricated, btw I rate
I really know how you feel. When I was a freshman, I was shy, I watched what I said, but I grew out of it. Do you like sports? You can take up a sport. I did volleyball my freshman year, even though it was my first year and I sucked... I still made friends and had fun. Its easier to make friends when your in a sport, club, or something along those lines. For in class, if you see someone who is sitting there just maybe give them a smile and say hi. Most likely that person will start talking to you back. You will be fine, just go in thinking positive and have a great attitude. Good luck in HS and make it the best 4 years ever.
