What is a uti? and how do you know if you have one? write me back..
urinary tract infection-Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are usually caused by bacteria that enter the urethra and travel up the urinary tract. Bacteria that normally live in the large intestine and are present in feces are the most common cause of infection. Sexual intercourse may introduce bacteria into the urinary tract, especially in women. Catheters are a common source of bacterial infection in people who are hospitalized or live in long-term care facilities.
Occasionally kidney or bladder infections are caused by bacteria traveling through the blood or lymph system to the urinary tract.
