ok, next year i will be in 7th grade and i am gonna do athletics. im kinda short for my age and dont have much muscle or anything. im not overweight, but im not exactly "strong and athletic". im afraid that next year i will make the bad teams and be one of the worst atheletes there. im not a ver good runner and im afraid were gonna have to do alot of that! i just dont wanna look stupid in front of all my other friends who are tall and long-legged and will be able to run a mile in 5 minutes, wen im bak there truggin along. does any1 no an easy way 2 get in shape without havin 2 like do hours and hours of strenuous excersise?? plz answer! :)

I am also going into 7th grade. I am tall and 'long-legged' and I will probably not ever be able to run a mile in 5 minutes. In fact the fastest runner in my grade is 4 feet 10 inches. I don't know what type of athletics you are thinking of but to get in shape it really depends on what you want to improve. For your arms you could probably just get some 3-5 pound weights and lift those or do push ups against a wall or on the ground. You don't have to do hours and hours but a good 20 minutes everyday should be enough. For legs you can do the jump rope. If you do find that athletics aren't your thing you can always try dance, it keeps you in shape and it is fun. Hope I helped!
