I am 18 years old and about to start college. I know that the world can be tough and that people can be cruel. I started this advice column to help all people. Age, sex or nationality does not matter to me. I just want to help people through their problems and be a shoulder to lean on when no one else is there. ok im 14 and going to be a freshman. i really like this guy still that i went out w/ for 4 months (which is a loooong time for me) at the beging of last year. i broke up w/ him cause i found this other guy who i thought i loved he ended up screwing me over, but anyway i hurt this guy a lot when i broke up w/ him. we couldnt even talk to each other for like 3 months. now we r really close friends and we have recently admitted we like each other still. but i dont know if i should go out w/ him because... well... im afraid im going to hurt him again. i have a problem w/ comitment i guess. Honey I am 18 and I have the same problem. COMMITMENT!!! Guys just seem to demand answers from us all the time. If you like him tell him how you are feeling, but let him know the situation at hand. Tell him that you are afraid of commitment. If he is really into you he will understand how you feel, and together you both can work through the problem. If he doesn't understand and just wants to be persistant, then you don't need that. You are only 14 years old. There are plenty of guys in the world. Some will break your heart, others will stick around until you break their heart. Love is blind. It hurts but at the same time it feels good because you have someone there with you who cares and holds you. If this guy wants to be with you he will wait until the time is right. If you guys aren't meant to be together, the power of love will break you apart. Take it slow. Things will work out okay for you and your friend.
