When I figure it out, I'll let you know. One thing that seems to have helped me is that I've come to the conclusion, finally, that I must stay with my wife. I wrote a letter to that effect to my former affair partner, essentially telling her that I could not contact her anymore, in any way, for the indefinite future. I told her bluntly that there was no hope we would ever be together in any way, because I had made my choice and it was for my wife. Basically, I had to accept that either she or my wife was going to get her heart broken, I made my choice, bit the bullet, and did it. It was just about the hardest thing I've ever done, but afterward there was a sense of relief, and I think I'm on my way to getting over her. I don't know if this will help you or not; heck, I don't even know if it will help me! I think that people in our position just have to learn to live with the pain, the loss, and the heartbreak.
