Thanks for your help, but you know how it is: I don't want to say anything to either of them, especially L, as I talk to them both on a regular basis and I don't want things to be awkward. I know what my values are and I know that they aren't going to change very easily, but I wasn't sure if I should wait around till F realizes that drinking and smoking are dumb.
