i know this might not be very proffesional sounding.. i need something thats not a laptop (something small) that has internet.. like a T mobile sidekick but not a phone (i have a sprint contract). Ok,well i used to live in this city,and now i live in a town.I've changed and i dont like it,im incecure,im quiet,im shy,everything like that.i used to be outgoing,eventful,and all sorts of things like that.So,how can i become more outgoing and happier?maybe like i used to be? i know whenever i go back to see my friends in the city im outgoing and fun with them..but i feel as though im so quiet here i'll never be outgoing ever again!!! please i need advice on how to stay outgoing,talk and yell out with out feeling embarissed of what i say! :(its either that or just move back to my city...oh yeah,13/f
My personal experience with being shy was to become a joker. If you can, try making jokes. Ad-lib and come up with them on the spot as much as possible, but telling prepared jokes can also work. You should start to lose your shyness, and as long as your jokes don't all fall flat, you'll be gaining confidence with each successful one. You could also try putting a few random elements into conversations (as long as you can take a few odd glances). Don't go with the obvious things, like 'purple monkey dishwasher' (or anything to do with monkeys). Try randomly saying 'fish' in the middle of a conversation. Or 'tuberculosis'. Just about anything that takes practice to say is good too. You're bound to get some attention, and as long as you're quick enough on your feet to make up some story about whatever random word you uttered, you'll be fine. Hope this works out for you.
I have a Word document that I will have protected. I would like to insert a fill-in field that when text is entered the original document will not be misaligned. Is this possible?

Assuming 'fill-in field' means 'text box', I can answer this. Create your text box. Right click on it, and go to 'format text box'. Go to the Layout tab, and choose 'behind text' or 'in front of text'.

Last night, my middle school had a dance. I finally got the courage to ask (let's call him "Will") Will, this guy I've really liked since April of last semester, to slow-dance. Well, the song was really short, and we're fairly good friends (we usually talk most of the time on AIM) so he said to me "Hey, Penelope, can I tell you a secret? I have a huge crush on Catherine." Isn't that awful? I feel terrible. And to top everything off, it's my birthday today too :( Is there anyone I can talk to? Because my friends don't really get it and neither do my parents.
When it comes to people to talk to who understand and know most about the situation at hand, you can't beat yourself. Try writing down just what you think of this whole situation, any ideas you might have, how you feel about Catherine and Will now, what you think you might do, if this is best for everyone, etc. If you've done 'stream of conciousness' before, then it should probably come out like that. Give it structure (paragraphs, dot points) if that's how it comes naturally, but otherwise just write down everything. Don't stop for small spelling mistakes or punctuation either.
Alternatively, you could just try something I do (however unwillingly), which is to more or less have a conversation in your head about the topic bothering you. It tends towards a monologue, but you should just pretend that someone asked you a question about this scenario - "So, how big a crush do you think he has on her?" Then you try and answer it best you can, and work on from there.

P.S - of course, if this sort of thing seems silly, you can always try talking to people you've met purely online. Assuming their maturity is above the '18 years old' level (actual age aside), they'll have a good chance of understanding. The upside of people met on the internet is that you don't need to have so many inhibitions when talking to them.

I strongly recommend a screen name which is /not/ a sentence or combination of words. If you want to be clever, you could try taking something like 'vintagex beauty' and swap a few letters around:

Autagex
Or you could come up with a completely new proper noun, like you were actualy looking for a name.

Having a screen name which is composed of common words, letters, and numbers will prejudice people against you. It's an all too common thing, and most people see it as unoriginality and a marker of low intelligence. Good luck.
My family is conecting our two computers to the internet through some sort of wireless contraption. When I go to the computer that orginally didn't have internet and is farthest away from the connector, it says that the connection is little or none. Is there a way I can make the reception better, because right now all I get is "this page cannot be displayed."
Keep in mind that the item is connected to a computer with internet already, has 3 lights on it with "Power", "Broadband Link", and "Local Network" under the lights, which are all on. It also says SBC on the front.
Any help would be appreciated!
Depending on the nature of the wireless connection, there are a few things you can try.
First, if you know how to access the router, try changing the wireless 'channel' to 11, if it isn't already. Default is normally 1, which conflicts with mobile and wireless phones, sometimes.
Second, what kind of device is the wireless? If it has a sort of aerial, make sure the aerial is pointing both up and in the same direction as the other wireless hardware.
Thirdly, if it is a portable aerial connected to a wire, move it up as high as possible and in free space, away from computer and preferably not under anything.
Fourth, try buying a stronger aerial.
P.S - this is in conjunction with the answers proposed above. Moving things closer is always good when you're talking wireless.
