I relly need help. My hair used to look straight when it was long (down by my hips). I mean it was always wavy and the ends curled....but now people really notice it and I rather straight hair.
I straighten my hair at least once a week or once in 2 weeks and the other fews day it's wavy..i don't mind but when I straighten it...the straightening balm makes my hair luk oily. I was wondering if there's some product that doesn't make it luk oily but helps protect against heat damage? (link)

i'm thinking that maybe you are using too much straightening balm. you could try using about a quarter-sized amount of it (or just a little more if you think you need to), rub it together with your palms and fingers, then losely run your hands through your hair. don't heavily coat each strand. also, stay away from the roots because it's guaranteed to look oily, like most styling products do.
i use about a dime-sized amount for my hair, which is only shoulder length. the product i use is called Alterna Hemp Straightening Balm. it protects against heat damage and makes hair so soft... it's great. only about 12 bucks a tube at Regis Salons (US).
hmm, that's all i can think of. hope i helped, and good luck!
