sore nipples

Since yesterday my nipples have been really sore and erect, any ideas what is causing this??

I googled it, but the only thing it comes up with is pregnancy.. I want to know other possible reasons too, not just pregnancy!

That happens to me about two days before I get my period, and it usually lasts as long as a day or two, so that could be a possibility. If it's really uncomfortable and you feel it's happened for too long, call your doctor or go and have it checked out.
