How high of a rank is a Major in the United States Army?

Hi Advicenators! I was reading the news today and saw that some guy in the U.S. army named Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed and injured his own guys from Fort Hood Army post with two pistols! I'm really shocked because I know that there are some pretty high ranks you can earn in the Army and these guys are suppose to be trained to defend us, not attack each other.
Well, how high of a rank is (or was) Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan then? Is Major higher than Lieutenant? I'm just curious how high of a rank this crazy man was and I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain the U.S. Army ranking system to me! THANKS, ADVICENATORS! :D

Can you gt charged for egging someone's house?
Someone FINALLY talked to us about who egged our house 3 months ago and I'm dissapointed that they didn't tell me sooner but at least I know.
I'm sure the police can't do anything now but I just want to know.

I was at work and my friends were talking about going shopping and one of them asked me if I had looked at any black Friday ads yet or if I knew where I was going that day. I just played it off and said I didn't know yet but I don't know at ALL! :( So what are "Black Friday Ads" anyway? Can someone help me out here?

What does "nex superne" mean? It is on a U.S. Army 101st Airborne coin

What does "nex superne" mean? My dad has a coin with wings and a parachute logo design on it and it says 101st Airborne around the top of the coin and "Nex Superne" around the bottom of the coin.
I know it is from my dad's time in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division, but my dad didn't make it back ok so I can't really talk with him and ask him what it means. :(

Can someone help me find a cheap poster kind of like that? It doesnt have to be exactly like that but I'd like it to have that logo thing on it at least. That one right there is $140 for some reason so I'm definitely not gonna buy it. The most I'd pay is like $15. Please don't give me links to sites like AllPosters.com or anything because I've already looked. I just need to find the actual poster.

* on a scale of 1-10 how much did it hurt?
* how often do you have to clean it? for how long?
* which ear do you have it on? left or right?
* was it worth the pain?
* how long have you had it? does it still hurt?
* does it hurt when you sleep and you sleep on that ear?
* did it hurt when it was getting pierced of afterwards?

Ok so I like this guy at my golf class. I really want to look good when I go to golf today. What can I do to look pretty while wearing a hat? I really dont want to wear makeup and all I can do with my hair is put it up in a pony tail cause of the hat. We arnt allowed to wear skirts, jeans, t-shirts, or really any shirt without a collar. So is there anything I can really do to look good without makeup or doing my hair or decent clothes?

Can titanium sizes be altered?

For our third year anniversary, my boyfriend and I exchanged rings, though there's a problem. He measured his finger wrong (don't know how so don't even ask me haha), and it's a little too big. Anyways, my question is.. if it's a titanium band, is there anyway it can be cut and made a bit smaller? I know titanium is a strong metal, so I'm not sure if it's possible. As you can tell, I know nothing about jewelry. Please help! Thanks

My birthday is in 21 days & I'll be turning 17 =). I was thinking about throwing a party but I don't know how to go about doing it =/ any theme ideas ? Or party ideas? Things to do at my party ?...I'm really clueless & I was thinking about having it at my house..since money is really low right now & I wouldn't be able to rent out a hall..I'm also on a budget..the most I could save up right now is 200.. any ideas please?

its confusing me and i dont get how they turn into vampires...
its not like twilight bcos they turn into vampires when they get bitten and stuff.
but in true blood they bite each other all the time and they dont turn into vampires...
its weird i dont get it!!
i saw they scene where it shows you how bill became a vampire,, i figured that the lady vampire drained his blood and then made him drink her blood and thats how he became a vampire?? is that how it works???
