Mean Teachers Posted Saturday November 24 2007, 12:50 pm
Why are highschool teachers so mean?
This is my first year of highschool and i found out that most of them don't care about a lot of things and the way they say it makes them sound so cold and mean.
Like one teacher was really nice and then she yelled at this girl because she accidently did something wrong and said sorry. "This is highschool, you fix the problem! You don't just say SORRY and then it's all better!"
And then i hear a lot of people complaining about university teachers and some teachers tell like some bad things about their university teachers when they were in university. And that they don't care.
I'm just really wondering why? I'm a very sensitive persona ...

Confused about the Future Posted Saturday November 24 2007, 12:35 am
15/f
Ok, I don't know why I'm stressing over this now but
I'm stressfully debating over what type of career I should have when I'm older. And I know its way too early for this and I have time but it just keeps bothering me. I do a lot of activities that involve creativity (music, mock trial, school newspaper) and I'm a good writer and everything so you'd think I should be a journalist or lawyer, right? Well, lately I've had this desire to be a psychiatrist. I'm not the most math and science-oriented person (especially math) but last year I took biology, did well in the class, and actually really enjoyed it. I'm not one of these top notch students who participate in science fairs and stuff but I have a good understanding of bi...

I can't make priorities... Posted Wednesday November 21 2007, 5:19 pm
15/f sophmore
Ok, I'm involved in a lot of extra curricular activities both in and out of school. So many activities appeal to me and I just keep joining things. They're things which I really really enjoy but that you have to make a commitment to, such as a once a week 4 hour orchestra rehearsal, jazz choir, daily cross country practice (which is over now), other clubs here and there, and soon mock trial. On top of that, I have all my schoolwork. Now, I don't mind being busy but what I'd like would be to stick to only a couple of big things and be really good at them. In other words, I want to start making priorities. But the thing is, I can't. I can't decide on what to focus on and what's the best route to take. One dilemma I'm ha...

Sirenes
Ulixes alium dolum efficit!
Cera in auribus ponitur (carmen audire non possunt);
nautae Ulixem ad malum (mast) navis ligant.
Hoc facto, solus Ulixes carmen Sirenum audit, et sua navis et nautae tuti sunt.
I was given some hints.:

Tabor Academy Posted Sunday November 18 2007, 4:53 pm
I need to go to Tabor Academy (Marion, MA). I have the smarts and everything I need to get into the school. Except for the funds. I do not come from an Ivy League school background. My mom's a real estate agent, and my dad is a small developer. They don't make more than $80,000 a year. Tabor costs 26 grand, and my parents just can't afford it. They want me to go to the local Catholic school, but I'm not Catholic and I really want to go to an elite school. There's financial aid available, but I don't know how much it gives for help. Would I have to repay it afterwards? I'm so disappointed that I wouldn't get into the school of my choice just because my parents can't afford it. Are there scholarships or grants availble for high schools? Many thanks to all advice.

PAGEANT Posted Thursday November 15 2007, 10:19 pm
Me and my friends are doing our school pageant. We're not really one of those psycho girls who will kill the queen. It's for fun and when we graduate, when is the next time we'll ever have the chance to do it, right? Well what I'm asking is..I think I walk like a penguin and I'm pigeoned-toed and bow-legged..I could be overreacting but what can help my walk and such? Just walk around in my shoes? What can help my posture? I don't want to fall off the stage..THANKS GUY.
