Immigration essay help

Posted Tuesday December 11 2007, 7:31 pm

Ok so I'm doing an immigration essay at school and I'm writing about how it's beneficial to the United States. The problem is, I'm really confused and I have no idea how to word and set up my essay. The problem I'm having right now, is that I can't think of 3 main points. Like for each point, it will be one paragraph. I think I could do a point about Cultural stuff, but I need 2 more points. If anyone could give me ideas of 2 more points to write about (and I don't want them to be rude), and if you could give me great websites or say your opinion than that would be GREATLY appreciated!

lost glasses

Posted Monday December 10 2007, 3:53 pm

I accidentally left my glasses on a school bus that took us on a field trip today. My mom said that she wasn't going to help me or get me new ones, but she said to check out with our teacher to see what bus it was. I am so worried because I can't see like at all, and I thought that my mom of all people would help me find them, but she said right to me that she wouldn't. What should I do to find them exactly? (Note: These are the same buses that take us to and from school each day.)

Obsession according to Maslow

Posted Sunday December 9 2007, 11:21 am

I'm writing a psychological analysis of my brother according to Maslow's hierarchy of needs and I've been able to explain a few things about him (like why he does extreme thing like mountain climbing) but I'm having a hard time explaining his obsession with certain people. When he starts admiring someone (for example, a rapper - Kanye West maybe) he takes it to an extreme, he'll find out everything about him, put up pictures, and try to turn himself into him. It's hard, but can anyone on here find a connecting between his obsession and maslow's theory?

Andover

Posted Saturday December 8 2007, 7:55 pm

This is for anyone who goes to Phillips Academy Andover:

What brands of clothes do people normally wear? (generally, some examples please)

How do people usually dress(preppy, artsy, you know)?

Do people have parties, and do people drink regularly?

What defines a person as "cool"?

What should every student at Andover have in their room?

Thanks so much.

why do you want to attend?

Posted Thursday December 6 2007, 7:19 pm

I'm applying to a private high school this year for the 08-09 school year, and when I read the application form, I found this question: Please tell us why you want to attend Bishop ______ High School. I don't understand. I want to go because it's not as expensive as other private schools I checked out, and is way better than our 2-star public high school, but I assume that that is not quite appropriate to enter on the form. Any help please?

I've always wanted to be a doctor since I ws a little girl,at first for..girly reasons but then it got more serious as soon as I grew up.

I got A's in math every year and this year is my first year of high school and of course I'm on Academic Math but ti's been really hard for me and it takes me 2-5 hours to do my hoemwokr every day, not including my other wokr form different classes.

My counciler told me that..maybe I need to do something 'different' because it's nto normal to be doing your homework for 5 hours a day and it's only going to get harder in grade 10 and longer at the rate I'm going.

My dad is for sure nto letting me move down a level to Appplied and I want to go to Applied but yet I...
