how to get a shy guy talking.

so i like this guy luke. hes nice and hot but hes really shy lately hes been talking a little more, as hes gotten to know me. but i want to get to know him better and he makes it hard.
how do i get him wanting to talk or to atleast speack up. were in the same group... and the rest of us are crazy loud talkers... and i feel he backs away even though hes heaps talented and super nice.
suggestions?

when it comes to guys im so picky.. they have to be really good looking and have a good personality... how do i stop being so picky and start liking guys for their personality without good appearances?
also, even when i find a great guy that looks good and has a good personality, i like him and once he starts liking me back i stop liking him for no reason... whats wrong with me?? im 18/f

I texted my ex boyfriend from my friends phone and said "so, seems like you and ___ are really hitting it off (;" and he said "ha yea totally..." They haven't talked face to face, but they have texted uh, three times. he usually answers back right away when she texts him, he laughs in basically all of the texts, I told him he should come to her bonfire and he said "yea, maybe" What should he do? Through just that do you think he's getting to the liking stage? Thanks!

for the past 2 years, ive been liking this guy in my class. once he found out i liked him he stopped talking to me completely for the rest of the year (which was like 8 months) and that hurt me pretty bad. Before this we were cool with each other but then he heard that i liked him, he treated me like i had a sick disease. i also had my friend pretend to do a fake interview with him so we can learn his interests. he found out about that which also contributed to him treating me like some kind of stranger. I even apologized for that and he still acted like he hated me. He hardly talked to me that whole year. Professor Complint, is it wrong, pointless?

I have a professor who is disrespectful, rude, and downgrading. And, there are other students who think so and I ant to rite a complaint about her and get at last two other people to sign it. Do you think tht this will be effective? I just feel like even if nothing is done she will continue and one day someone else will come forward and at least it wont be a we never heard of this type of situation.

Alright, my friends like this kid and they wanted to find out who was on his shirt one day. They were to nervous to text him from their phones, so they texted him from mine. They were talking to him about God knows what and at the end they gave my back my phone and told him that they were right, that he is cute. Making it sound like it was coming from me. He replied "ha. thanks." Seems not to interested, eh? That's what I thought until school spanning over the next few days. One day this boy was late to lunch and he saw that I am late as well, we basically had eye sex (staring into each other's eyes for a really long time). Hi, I have a lot of trouble with basic algebra, so I'm trying to start from the beginning and try to reteach myself some of the basic concepts.
I have an example problem, and then a question that follows...if someone could please help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated.
I'm supposed to simplify:
3x+2y - 5x+8y
I understand that I have to group the like-terms together, therefore it becomes:
(3x-5x)+(2y+8y)
It's pretty pathetic to say this, but this is where I get stuck... I know how to group the like-terms... but what confuses me is which signs to use at which time. For instance, Why does the positive sign change to a negative sign,meanwhile the sign between t...

I'm a college student, and I lost my virginity while at college. I lost it at the beginning of the school year, and I kind of slept around a lot (I used sex as a way to feel better about myself) the first half of the year. Now I've changed, but my past comes back to haunt me, because it is a small school, and a small isolated town, and a lot of people know about my past. How do I move on from that? It seems like no one will ever forget and move on with their own lives. I've made that my past, I'm not like that anymore, but others still haven't. And to be honest it wasn't even that bad, I haven't really been with that many guys (many girls here have twice that number, easy, and yet they don't seem to have that reputation).

This kid i used to talk to every once in a while at school (who i think is really cute) used to tell me that we needed to hang out.. but we never actually did until after graduation. He invited me over to watch a movie and he ended up kissing me and some other stuff happened. Then the day after we hung out i texted him and said we need to hang out again soon and he agreed. i figured i wouldn't text him anymore unless he texted me first. so i could sort of play hard to get. Well he didn't text me again till a week later and asked me to hang out again that next morning. So we did but i had to leave at noon because his mom was coming home. He said he would text me later so we could hang out more later that day but never did. is he just playing me?

okay i like my ex brendan.
we dated on and off until he told me he had no feelings left for me.
so its been several months and ive dated other guys.
and suddenly my ex seems very keen again.
hes doing stuff like:
- taking my stuff so i have to chase him
-always poking me and touching me in some way
- always talking to me
-hanging around me (although he HATES my friends)
and very protective.
-finding ways to hug me
-texting alot
every one says we should date again but ... he says he "doesnt" like me.
he asked me to his house to watch movies tomorrow so im not sure if that means anything or not....?

hello.....well im 13 and a female and ive had this crush on this guy since i was in year 5...the thing is that this year he is in year 11 and gay!! and im in year 8...ive always known he was gay (he does ballet and stuff) but everytime he walks by me he smiles at me and its like superly cool :p anyways he is also my brothers best friend....when i was going out wth my last boyfriend he would actually get jealous if i talked bout him so that means that liking someone else doesnt work... what should i do??

I'm having issues at school and because I go to a catholic school we have a Chaplain. And we never talk or anything but I'm thinking of just writing a letter to himand sharing my problems to him. Do you think that's a good idea?
I don't know if he can do anything but many students share secrets with him and he's very trustworthy I hear, but I'm just hoping a tiny bit that he might be able to help me out.
But I'll feel so embarrased if he gets the principal or brings up the whole issue in our assembly in two weeks. The issue is bullying/racism.
And I chose a letter because people write leters and rip/burn them up to cheer them up but I don't see the point in wasting paper and want to send him the ...

Ok..You see I lost my friend because I didnt go on a trip to cedar point. A stupid reason acutally and she said I was a fucking dumb bitch because of it. I was sick, and depressed a good reason for me to stay home.
