i've searched and searched, but have found no results. i'm looking for some new bands. something that sounds like all time low or mayday parade. i suppose that would be a punk genre.
i really hate having to ask this, but i can't find anything i enjoy much.

Electric guitar music

Hi, I am bored with the songs I have been playing on guitar lately.
I need something more upbeat and punk rock, without having to read tab. Im not a big fan of tab and just prefer chords (don't mind a bit of easy tablature in an intro etc.)
Anything rock or punk rockish I look up is just tab and I'm getting really annoyed.
Can anyone suggest some cool songs I can play?

I have a Motorola ROKR, and I can download the ringtones fine from myxertones.com, but I can't apply them as a ringtone. Under File Details, it says Forwarding is possible but Applying it as a Ringtone isn't. Are there any settings I can change or something to make it apply the songs as a ringtone.

I am getting sick of my music again and I was wonderring if anyone could recommend some good songs. I would really like some good acoustic songs (i have all the secondhand serenade so not them), and i also listen to heavy/death metal, as well as a bit of In Flames and such. Any songs would be a huge help. Thanks :)

I love listening to R.E.M., but I only have Reveal and Out of Time. I'm at a loss for what other albums I could get that would really satisfy my craving for true R.E.M. What would you say the 4 best albums are, for example? Thanks!

Metal.

Well I have been listening to metal for around 5 years now, and I mean serious metal, not pussy metal :P
Like COB, Slayer, In Flames, Behemoth, Slipknot and so on. I hope you get the idea.
Anyway, I was wondering if some people knew some good metal bands, that are unknown... if you can bother, myspace links would be nice, but any band names would be very very much appreciated :D

Learning to play the guitar

Ok, so my friend and I made this list of things we want to do before we graduate highdchool, and one of the things on the list was to learn how to play the guitar. Now, I've grown up around music, my dad's sside of the family are strong musicians and most of them know how to play the guitar. So, naturally, I had no trouble getting a guitar and some exercises to help practice, whereas, she has yet to get a guitar. So she said it was fine that I started learning before her. So, last week, I got the guitar and sat down and practiced for a few hours. Basically, the first week, I was just trying to build up calic [sp?] so it wouldn't hurt as much when I moved on to the hard stuff.
