Is It Bad to Be a Tomboy? Posted Thursday March 31 2016, 2:41 am
I don't really think of myself as a tomboy per se. I like getting dressed up in nice dresses with my hair done. I like girly clothes, chick flicks, and I absolutely love getting pedicures and massages.
But there are some things about me that are quite tomboyish. While I may like wearing dresses and other girly clothes, I mostly wear jeans and t-shirts. I don't like capri pants or shorts (especially short shorts) because I'm embarrassed of my legs. They're disproportionately skinny and badly scared from surgery and cutting myself shaving a LOT. I wear blingy jeans, but they're kind of baggy because tight jeans would show how skinny my legs are. I mainly wear t-shirts and sweatshirts because I find them more comfortable. Cute, ...

Trials of Apollo Posted Tuesday March 29 2016, 1:48 pm
Trials of Apollo is coming up in about a month so I'm wondering, I poked around and saw percabeth would be in it and we'd also see what happens to Leo and Nico. Riordan tweeted that *most* fan favorites from the previous Greek and Roman serieses will be back. The word most stuck out to me. Solangelo is OTP and I'm wondering if they'll be in the series? Anyone know anything? I mean Will is son of Apollo, so...
Any information?

Drawing fanart? Posted Monday March 14 2016, 7:42 am
I like drawing but I've never drawn fanart. You see I usually draw landscapes, animals, and people who's appearances I've thought up. That's easier because it doesn't have to look a certain way or I can have any photo right in front of me. But I want to draw the Percy Jackson charecters:
- Percy
- Anmabeth
- Nico
- Frank
- Hazel
- Leo
- Piper
- Jason
And possibly Calypso and Will. Here's the thing I have no idea how! I'll have to go by the descriptions in the book, and for some charecters that's very vague. For example, Hazel is black with brown eyes is all I know! Piper is a native American so she probably has tan skin, black hair and brown eyes. What's a good way to ge...

enjoy small pain normal? Posted Tuesday March 8 2016, 10:26 pm
don't get the wrong idea. I'm not cutting or self-harming in any serious way. I am not putting my life in danger.
I just wonder if this is normal: I use hand sanitizer regularly at work, and when I have a cut or something on my hand, I like the stinging pain that results when hand sanitizer gets in it. Sometimes I use it more when I have a cut, or rub in to the cut especially, just so that I can feel that sting more.
Is this weird/bad? It's not like i'm seriously harming myself...and I certainly don't enjoy stronger pain...but that little sting just makes me happy in a way...

What reasonable things should I do before I die? Posted Monday March 7 2016, 11:40 pm
Hello. So by my calculations and estimations, I have a 65% chance of dying within the next 8 months. Not by cancer or any type of disease, however that's possible as well. The situation is hard to explain, but it's inevitable. I've fully accepted it as well. Now. I want some reasonable things to do before I die. Keep in mind, I'm only 13. This isn't your typical hipster bucket list full of things like "go bungee jumping" and "be friends with a celebrity" because I don't have much time first of all, and second, bungee jumping is f*ckin terrifying (I had to put the * in because I don't know their policy). Anyway, I want fun reasonable things to enjoy in this world. And don't waste your time typing nonsense about the inevit...

talking to my mom Posted Thursday March 3 2016, 8:41 pm
So I've asked a couple of questions on here where the responses suggested that I talk to my mom or go to my doctor (which would involve talking to my mom). The problem is, I would not be allowed to be on this site if my mom knew about it. So how do I explain to her why I think a certain thing about me or my body? I don't want to lie to her, but I don't want to get in trouble either...

Hearing music and describing it with a smell or scene Posted Monday February 29 2016, 5:12 pm
I don't think what I do can really be called synesthesia, but when I hear music , I can describe it with smell. I can't physically smell anything, but it's like a remembered smell, where I don't feel it in my nose but in my brain, and still "smell" it, if that makes any sense. For example, someone was trying to work out some music they were writing for piano today, in a minor key, and it made me think of a warm, heavy, spicy men's musk cologne, and it felt and looked like the depressed feeling of a wet, dark, foggy fall day, but with crisp dry leaves, not wet ones. Could anyone, maybe someone into psychology, explain this to me? I'm just curious about it because no one can really relate to me and I don't think it's synesthesia. Thanks :)

Needing Advice On This Posted Wednesday February 24 2016, 12:35 am
Having written to him before, a local weather man said twice he is interested in reading some stories of mine involving him. The thing is, he will know it's me, etc and having to write on behalf for others for different people has my mind going to send or not to send. I have feelings of being ignored. Printing isn't an option til next week and a friend asked what he wanted to do with no answer or luck. My friend feels if I don't send them as she told him we would be sending the stories that are done that I would send them. My friend thinks by not sending is being dishonest and lying and what not. Should I still send? Just wondering. Thanks!

HIV from nail salon? Posted Thursday February 4 2016, 1:00 am
I got my nails done today and when they were sanding my nails (using the rotating tool, it's called a dremel I believe) they scratched me on my cuticle. I wasn't actively bleeding but the area is tender and red now. I don't think they cleaned the dremel, honestly, and now I'm terrified of contracting some kind of illness.
Can HIV be transmitted this way if an infected person's blood was on the tool?

I'm paranoid, is it reasonable Posted Tuesday February 2 2016, 8:12 pm
I'm in 7th grade and my parents watch the news a lot. It's always bad news. I live in America, we have a shooting every other day. The scariness started in 2014, with the ebola virus and isis starting up. I believe it was 2015 when isis chopped the reporters heads off. And throughout the year they were threatening to bomb places near me and hack soldier's twitter accounts and they attacked Paris, and San Bernardino. Then we hear very horrible stuff about how they are treating refugees and Republicans running around trying to make America into a Christian theocracy. Kids use the politicians for joke material like Trump and Cruz, but Cruz scares me because he is so against atheists and I'm an atheist! And Trump is scary too I think he'd make ...

Gas station cashier- right to refuse service? (USA resident) Posted Friday January 29 2016, 9:47 am
So I've been a cashier at a certain major chain of gas stations for about 3-4 months now, and at our particular location, there has been non-stop drama, resulting in 3 people quitting and 2 people getting fired. Needless to say, it's been a stressful few months. I had been doing a great job not being involved in all the drama for a while, until I got dragged into this particular scenario.
A couple months after I was hired in, my coworker Sam (or so we'll call him) joined us at our station. He was a hard worker, and we got along great. We joked around with our similarly sarcastic humor. But it started to all go downhill. You see, I started to take notice of his shifting moods. One moment we'd be laughing, and 20 minutes later ...

First Shift or Second Shift? Posted Monday January 25 2016, 10:08 pm
So I just started the job that I'm at last November and I love it. Great benefits, great pay, and the people I work with on second shift are fantastic. I used to live in a small town in Maryland where I also worked second, but it didn't bother me since there wasn't much I was missing out on. Now that I live in Austin there's SO much to do, and I've made a few friends that love to go out. Beyond that there's so much to do that I feel that I'm only 23 and I should be letting myself experience it instead of burying myself in second shift just for a $0.75 difference. Now I mentioned it to one woman that I've been growing close to and she immediately said no. That I would hate first shift, and that the people are dramatic (which they are). And t...

Making a really hard decision Posted Wednesday January 20 2016, 5:30 pm
I have been apart of student government for three years. I have always wanted to run for student body president and now i have the chance to! However, one of my good friends in student government said she is running against me. Current members running against each other is a big NO NO. However she has only been in for one year and I have been in for three so I know more about the loyalty than she does. She is going against the traditions and doing what she wants. She said she would rather be the President or nothing at all. But I don't necessarily feel that way. I love student government more than I can describe and I'm not sure I'm willing to lose it. I know that I can beat her in the election, but there is a chance I could lose, and it wi...
