I'm going to Arizona!

Posted Tuesday March 1 2005, 5:55 pm

I'm not sure if anyone will remember this, but I had asked a question as to whether or not it would be the right thing to want to go to the same college as my boyfriend just to be together. Well, he decided he wanted to go to Arizona. To be exact, The Art Institute of Arizona and I was going to go to The Bryman School of Phoenix to study massage therapy. I was looking at houses online in Arizona and I noticed that they were dirt cheap (as in price) so we decided to buy a little house out there (There are 3-4 bedroom houses for 95,300 out there!) My only concern, it's the desert and I'm PETRIFIED of snakes. I know there are many many many snakes there. Does anyone live in Arizona that is scared of snakes? What do you do about it? Is there an...

Missing courses, major headaches.

Posted Thursday February 24 2005, 11:03 pm

So, here's the story:

I am currently a freshman attending a private high school in Greenville, North Carolina. Since I'm in high school, I've started to search for different colleges that I would be interested in attending. I'm considering UNC-CH and I've viewed the application forms and application requirements. While I was looking through them, I noticed that a few of the required courses are not offered at my school as of now. My English literature teacher informed me that some colleges in the area offer extra courses during the summer, so I'm going to begin the required courses later this semester. But, I'm wondering whether taking the extra courses at a college during the summer or switching from my current school ...

17/f/NY I'm in a filming class. We were filming yesterday at the subway station. There weren't many people around, and if there was it was mostly people who didn't speak much english, or homeless people (who most likely wouldn't know anything in the film industry). We chose to try and film without a permit since it was a non-profit high school film. But the thing is, people kept getting into our shots when we didn't want them there. Since we didn't have a permit, we didn't have the right to tell them to get out of our shot. It was only 1 or 2 people who would get in the way at one time, but still. So anyways, we would have to work around them. We would have to wait until the next train would come so they can get in the train and get...

The right thing to do?

Posted Monday January 31 2005, 10:08 pm

My boyfriend and I have been dating since I was in eighth. He is currently a senior and I'm a junior. I haven't made a decision as to where I'd like to go to college yet because I don't want to be far from my boyfriend. Yes, I know I am young but my boyfriend and I wanted to eventually get married and live together when we both got out of highschool. My question is this: Do you think it's the wrong thing to do choosing to go to the same college or one near the college your boyfriend is going to, just to be near to him? I know people that would think it's a stupid idea, but I want to be with my boyfriend. We've talked about it alot and I'm not sure what I'm going to do! I was even thinking about this back when I first started dating him 4 ye...

Stanford University

Posted Friday January 28 2005, 8:39 pm

My dream has always and will always be to go to Stanford. I am a freshman, and so far have only one semister done. For my first semister, I got A's in all my classes. I am taking Honors English, Adv. Theater, Japanese I, Earth Systems, P.E., Computer Tech, and Geometry. For extra-curriculars I was on Shakespeare Team, and I am currently on Debate and Drama Team. I am also the secretary for the Drama Club. I am going to pick my classes soon, and I would like some advice on what kind of classes a college like Stanford would be looking for. I would also like to know any information on how to get in. I know I'm only a freshman, but I am definately going to college and Stanford is the only one I want to go to.

I have my heart set on going to school in San Francisco. I'm not an excellent student, and I truly can't afford SFSU, which is where I want to go. I was wondering if anyone knew of colleges within a 15 mile radius of San Fran...a nice site would be great too.
