Mother and Daughter

What should I do? My 34 yr. old daughter has gained a substantial amt. of weight w/n the past 3+ yrs. since her job relocated her to a state on the other side of the country where we have no family and she does not make friends easily. She runs & sometimes wks out w a trainer, but she is very heavy below the waist (from sz 10 to sz 16 pants). She has gone to dr. about it & has learned that she inherited a gene (a disease) for very lg. & heavy legs. She should wear special hose, but she won't. She is a beautiful woman, but is self-conscious abt the heaviness & wears long pretty summer dresses. I'm 17 and I have just graduated highschool and I have found out i'm pregnant. Me and my boyfriend want this baby very much and my mom told us she'd be strong and supportive which she hasn't been she just wants us to get an abortion and say's were too young, although we're truly not . He's 18 turning 19 this year and i'm turning 18 this year . My mom says she told my dad & I asked her what'd she say , and all she could do is look at me disgusted how she has been this whole time since we for sure found out that I am pregnant and say he's upset/ mad something like that . I haven't talked to my dad I've been avoiding him and now I'm sitting up in my room bc I don't want to see or talk to him . We had planned to talk all together today, but...

im 17/f. i live in south carolina. my mother little four year old sister and i moved out of my fathers house when he beat the crap out of me almost a year ago. well, my mom and i keep getting into fights.its bad, they mostly encircle around my little sister and how she needs more disciplining because my mom doesn't do it that well. now my mom is sending me back to my fathers so she doesnt have to deal with me talking back to her. what a mom right? my sister is bad and everyone sees it, but you cant tell my mom anything. yes, she is only 4, but she knows not to do alot of the things she shouldnt do when she does it anyways. but back to my point...i am a senior in highschool, i am getting a job. i need to find a place to live. i need to move ...

Should I tell anyone that I was molested when I was younger?

I've never told anyone this, but when i was younger, like from when i was age 5 to age 11, my cousin would molest me.
i just feel like i dont want to keep it bottled up anymore but i'd feel embarrassed and ashamed to tell anyone.I think it will probally rip my family apart because Im really close to my aunt which is my cousins mom. And I dont think anyone will believe me. I think I'll feel bad forever if I say something.
I think my family will hate me if they think IM lying

I'm 17 turning 18 in September and I'm from NY. Early in 2010, my mom decided she wanted to move to North Carolina to move in with her parents (my grandparents) so she could save up money, have less expenses, etc, so that she could put a down payment on a house a few years later. I said I would attend college down there and so that was kind of the plan, and my grandparents were excited and everything. And, well, as the time closely approaches I have been having second thoughts about wanting to go. The first thing is the cost of an out of state college, I can't afford it so I can't start down there right away anyway because I am not a resident and they would charge me A LOT of money for it. Ok I am 24 years old and have a lot of emotional stuff bottled in side. My parents allowed me to party when I was sixteen. I was smoking pot and drinking withthem as well as coke.by the time I was 17 18 I was addicted to it. We are all clean now but never talked about it with them. Got to confront them but how?

Hi! Im Gracie and Im 13 years old. I have an older brother named Matt(16) and a twin sister called (Lissa). Our dad is a single parent. Hes 36, he and my mom had kids really young. Hes 2 years older than mom. Dad says my mom had depression, I think it was Post Partnum depression. Anyway, My mom left a few months after we were born. Me and Lissa were 8 wks early so we had to stay in the hospital longer than most babies. Mom left a few months after we got out. How can I make my mom understand why I use electronics so much?

My mom is always complaining that I'm obsessed with my electronics. She grew up without any so she doesn't understand the usefulness of them.
My high school majors are Web Design and Television Productions and my other teachers prefer it if we email them our homework so that we can't say somebody stole it or that we lost it. So during the school year I did almost all of my homework on my MacBook Pro.
Now that it's summer vacation I have all of the time in the world to use my two phones (that my dad bought me) and my laptop as well as my itouch,tv and ipad.
This is my last summer and because of my moms job she barely ever gets vacations. Also by the time she comes home I've already done everything...

How to adjust to MIL living with my family?

My husband's 85 year old mother is solely dependent on my husband for support. She has lived separately but due to the onset of severe Alzheimer and her mounting maintenance costs, it is no longer affordable by my husband. I have agreed to take a loan in order to expand our home and allow her to live with us.
I am however stressed by my husband's announcement that he intends to move all of MIL's furniture in to our home despite being unable to accomodate them. I feel exploited by having to take a loan to ease my husband's financial burden but yet he is willing to impose further stress on me. I must say that I reluctantly agreed as my husband is her only child but she has been a very vulgar and rude woman in the over 10 yrs I have kno...

My mom is pretty religious and as always taught us not to have sex until we are married. I understand and respect her views and agree with them to an extent. Because of this up bringing sex has always been a taboo subject in my house. I can't even talk about it with my sister, and it has cause relationship problems with my mom. My sister is 23 and I am 21. Anyway she still just can't accept that my sister or I would ever do something of that nature. So my mother has been struggling with depression ever since I could remember. I've always been pretty sympathetic about it because I have struggled with depression at one point in my life, but thankfully I have over came it. I always ask my mother why she is sad and she never has a straight answer. I can only imagine why she is unhappy. She works at a waitress at a crappy job, she has absolutely no money, tons of debt, and she is currently the head of her pitty party. now this isn't as scary as it seems i'm 22 and my bf is 25 so we are both adults. we just found out we are expecting. its a bit of a surprise but we are very excited. there is only one problem my family. i'm sure his family will be okay with it but our familys are very different. his family are very close while mine is not. since we are not married i'm scared that my parents will be upset with us even cause a fight. i'm very emotional about it and my bf keeps telling me to calm down since the stress isn't good for the baby. i'm scared and really have no one to ask about this sice only my bf and i know about the baby right now. i'm really nervous any advice on how to break the news to my parents without tears being involved. some extra infor...

My cousin stayed at my house last night and she woke up screaming and crying because she had a nightmare and I didn't know what to do to help her. I gave her a hug and a kiss and she was still crying. She's 18. I'm 24. Whatelse could I have done to comfort her ?

im going to this college in the fall and my sister is trying to go to the same one. she is older than me. she went to a private college transfered to a community college and is now applying to the same college as me. she didnt get accepted the first time she tried to apply to this university. I really dont want her to go. My mom knows i dont want her to go but she wants her to go. My sister is so annoying to me and when ever i get the spot light or having success she has to try and match up to it. I need advice to this.

How can I gain my mom's trust back?

My parents recently found out that me and my boyfriend have smoked weed together before. After getting caught, we swore to each other (for the sake of our relationship) that we wouldn't smoke weed at all until we're eighteen. How can I get my mother to believe that we are being legitimate? She also doesn't trust me and thinks that I will get sexually involved with him in all the wrong ways, but we have both established our boundaries (no sex until we have been dating for a year, but we are both open to fooling around and oral sex and such). I have always gotten good grades and still do, I am respectful, and my mom has always trusted me. I need that trust back. How can I go about acquiring that?

My mom recently found a paper from my school that says i'm getting a 50 in tourism class, i took that class just to get a credit so i coul pass because it was either that or gym. So i chose tourism and didn't really bother trying in that class at all and focused on my more important classes for college like my math and chemistry. My mom thinks i should be getting 80s in every class. i recently got into a fight with her about this and i told her that i wasn't perfect that even if i try in all my classes it doesn't guarentee me a good grade, just like in english (Which i tried and still got a bad grade).
