molestation when I was 10 just coming out now

I am 51 years old. When I was 10 I got molested by my brother in law. I did not say anything because my sister was pregnant at the time. My brother in law told me that if I said anything my sister would loose the baby. I believed him. I have had two marriages and don't trust anybody. When I was in my 20's I had to go to therapy because something was wrong with me. In therapy I found out it was because of what happened to me when I was 10. All these years I have kept it a secret, last week I decided it was time to set myself free from all this.
I sent my brother in law a letter stating how I was feeling and how he messed up my life. I also sent a letter to my sister telling her everything that has happened. Did I do ...

Problems with Stepchildren's Mother

I am a stay at home mother with 5 children. 3 of my own and 2 step children. I love all of my kids with everything I have! My problem is with my stepchildren's mother. We have full custody of the girls and every time we have to interact with her, she causes a scene! It doesn't matter where we are or what we do, she has to have a complete breakdown so that all the attention is on her and we look like the bad guys. I have NEVER done anything to stop the girls from seeing their mother or defamed her in front of them but she tells the girls all kinds of lies about us. What can I do to try and keep the peace?? I have tried avoiding situations where we have to be in contact but there are certain times when it is unavoidable. I don't know what else to do

My twin sister hates me

13/f. my brother lives in california, 23. Lives in an apartment. i want to move when im 14. Would i be an emancipated minior? i dont get along with my mom. and we both go to therapy. i have thought alot about this, and i am sure i want to move. My brothers said ok thats great. and my mom said ok. do i/mom need papers to sign? will my bro be my guardian? what will happen? also my brother and mom dont get along. thnks

My sister is 58 years old. She is always getting after my 17 year old daughter, because my daughter tells her 5 year old grandson to behave because he is always misbehaving. Is is wrong for my daughter to correct him since she does not do it. He does all this in our house. She has stopped talking to my daughter because of this.

im 14 and i get stressed out a lot i get stressed because i have an aunt who is 17 DAYS older then me and always saying shes the boss beating me up and i have tons of bruising from her and we always fight. i also want to know if there is a way for her to leave me alone? oh and she always had to be right if shes not she will hit me even when she knows she is wrong. and when she stresses me out i want to walk around so i dont have to be in the house with her. but my mom says no. i do live in a safe town too so nothing will happen i will always have my cell phone on me too. so can any one help me with my 2 questions.
1. how do i get my anut to leave me alone?
2. how to convince my mom to let me walk so i can walk the stress off rather then other things?

causing a problem by mistake

my mistake i got myself into debt and it got to over £300 before i told my mum and dad, they bailed me out and now its happened again but the bank took money from me causing it this time, they are questioning everything i do and it has upset us all, i have no clue what to do to gain there respect and trust back? plz help im in pieces here

My mom always finds a way to get pissed off with me even when I'm upset. She thinks that i'm too dramatic and vain (which is pretty normal for a teen like me). I try to tone things down around her, but she still finds things that I do wrong. She never even tries to understand me even when her sisters do. Am I being ridiculous about this or should she try to be more sympathetic and understanding?

My parents are divorced, so of course they have moved on. My dad has a new girlfriend who he spends all his time with when he's not working. he's never really been a dad to my sister and I so it's nothing new. He works 6 days a week, sunday being his only day off. It's a one way street with my dad and I. If I don't call him, I would go weeks with out hearing from him. I put in all the effort to have a relationship with him. He lives in the neighborhood next to mine, but sadly our relationship is completely over the phone.
My mom has a new boyfriend who works on a tug boat which means he's on four days off four days, I have a lot of alone time with my mom but I still feel like I can't talk to her because everything I tell her...

I really have a feeling that my step brother and his friend have hooked up a secret camera in my room. I know, it sounds crazy but you would have to know them to know why I feel like this. I feel like I have no privacy in my room. How can I know if there really is a camera in my room and what are the signs to look for in having one in your room? I want to confront my mom about it but I want to know for sure before I talk to anyone about it!

Ok so today I had a girls day with my sister in law. We're both 18 so she lives with her parents. Well we were doing our nails and I was the one putting stuff on the table and I tried to be sure that I didnt mess up the table. Well, it turns out something actually got on the table and it won't come off. Her mom and step dad were furious thinking it was her. She didnt tell them it was me, but they want her to pay for a whole new table. I want to confess but I don't want my new mother and father in law hating me already but I also feel like it's my responsibility to pay for a new table especially since isn't wasn't her fault! Do I just give her the money that I would owe or full out just tell her parents?

around how much would it cost to get a diamond ring fixed. There are 4 diamonds missing and it's a little too small. My Grammys boyfriend gave it to me before he died and that's all I have left from him. Please help! :)

hey guys! my mom always calls me and my sister bad words on a daily basis. im so sad and tired of it and it makes me feel like she doesnt want us. shes alwas saying how me and my sis make everything miserable and just a couple minutes ago, me and my sister were going to sleep in our playroom in the basement but we came upstairs cause we saw a centipede and got scared. next thing we knew, my mom came running down the stairs and started screaming at us that my dad was trying to sleep and she kept calling us "little f**kers", "f*ck a** b**ches" and a ton of other nasty names. me and my sister tried 2 get upstairs as quietly as possible but the door squeaks and we were scared. i dont know but i think my mom was overreacting ...

Child abuse?

In the last six years my mother remarried. He's from Sudan. In my opinion he's a crap husband; he's never there, he makes no effort to be a good husband or a step dad and I dont particularly like him. I think she married a dead beat. But thats okay. Its her choice, not mine.
They have two young children. It's the eldest I'm most concerned about. He lacks discipline. He messes around, takes tantrums and doest eat his meals. My step dad will often shout at him or smack him, and while i don't approve of such outdated parenting techniques, it's not against the law to smack your kid.
