Did I annoy my advisor? Posted Wednesday June 18 2014, 3:17 pm
I was re-admitted into a masters program after being dismissed for academic reasons. I needed to be cleared to register for classes, and my advisor cleared me, however she mentioned that I may have a Dean's Hold from previous semesters (since I was dismissed).
I went ahead and emailed the dean and vice dean, as well as the admissions office, to see how I could resolve this issue. I let my advisor know that I did so, and a few minutes later, she emailed me the following:
" I can assist you with hold. It is not a matter for the deans of the school to address. Please email them immediately and let them know the matter is being addressed. Next time, just check with me first. If further action is required, I...

Should I file a written complaint? Posted Friday May 30 2014, 12:11 pm
During the beginning of the semester, my biology teacher listed me as a no show b/c I asked her what the course ID for our class was on the second week of school. She automatically thought I was not doing my work and deleted me from the class. I asked two teachers who are also counselors on the same day about what I should do. They said I should be fine and not to worry. This should not affect me. I received a bill mid semester for $50 for the bio teacher dropping me. It was a small amount so I paid it. I had some questions about why I was billed since I am fully covered by two grants. The clerk didn’t know the answer and suggested I talk to the dean. I said no, since I was planning on calling financial aid about it. She went behind my ba...

Academically stuck; Can't move back or forward Posted Wednesday May 7 2014, 11:41 pm
Hi, I'm Elle and I'm 23. I'm still going to a community college but I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. I have about 67 college credits but I know they don't mean anything if they don't equal an actual college degree. They are all under liberal arts. I can't find a job. I feel very ashamed, useless, and lame because of my current status. I really don't know what to do with my life. I felt so depressed today that I almost really felt like killing myself. I'm getting soooo old and I still have no sense of direction with my life. Anyone got any advice? God I'm so depressed..........

Medical Assistant Exams Posted Monday May 5 2014, 3:46 pm
I was wondering if anyone or someone they know has any suggestions for books that help with CMA exams.
I bought 2 anatomy books already and then I have one that I got that has 2 sample tests included but after I bought it, numerous people have given reviews that some answers in the book are incorrect. But then before I take the test, I figure that I can then use that book and test myself to know exactly what's right and what's wrong. So I'll use that later. The book only covers exams and explanations. But I need something else.
I just got into the program at school and I won't be done until next May so I figured I could go ahead and study now instead of later which is why I got some things now....

Australian Griffith University Vs AUT New Zealand? Diploma Vs Degre Posted Sunday May 4 2014, 8:47 am
Hi,
I have done 10th +12th. I have also done a 1 year Diploma in business studies and a 1 year Diploma in Business Management. Both were done through distance education. However they seem very irrelevant towards a better job as today's companies are asking for a 3 years bachelor's degree.
I am keen on studying abroad and obtaining a full time degree. I was advised the following course from the New Zealand Study counselor which was offered based on my current education and 9 years of work experience.
Graduate Diploma in Business and Graduate Certificate in Business
Program Code: Graduate Diploma: AK3709, Graduate Certificate: AK3753
Level: 7
Points: Diploma: 120, Certificate: ...

creating an organizations name Posted Thursday April 24 2014, 9:24 pm
Hi, so this is a very important question. I am trying to start an organization on my campus that puts on fashion shows. The only problem is that I just resigned from my position as vice-president of another org on campus called the style and modeling company. That organization dabbled in everything fashion related but the president is an idiot so I am starting my own org. The problem is , I cant think of a name for it. I want to differentiate my new group from my old group. I want a name that people will know off the bat that "this group puts on runway shows", but I don't want it to be an obvious name. I also really want it to be creative yet classy. Id like for the name to include something associated with the area my school is i...

Can't Decide Which Bachelor Posted Sunday April 13 2014, 11:51 am
Well, I'm just finishing high school and next year I'll be going to university. See, my head has always been divided by arts and sciences, I can't live without one of them. Since I was little I was a little geek that asked for a microscope and a telescope when little and memorized a little book about the planets. I also loved to scavenge the grounds for "minerals" and "diamonds". Silly, I know, but I didn't know how silly it was when I was six! Anyways, I also loved to draw a lot. As I got into high school I also developed myself as a writer - I just LOVE writing, just about anything. My friends would always come to me when we had to do essays so I could peer review before the teacher saw them. I even write fanfic novels...

A summer night we come across again,
Is In the countryside with easy life.
And time has passed so fast but now is still.
And I remember shining eyes of you.
Sometime you had a dream of literature,
Of love, of traveling all around the world.
But when we drink here talking trivial things,
The glasses click a sound of broken dreams.
Again I wander lonely in the street,
Someone is kicking can ahead of me:
A jingle song from whose tough top, ...

School Paper Posted Monday March 31 2014, 2:12 pm
I have a paper due in five weeks for my Globalization and Development class. The object of the paper is to talk about a group in a developing country and describe the struggles they face. Such as.. The Hutus and the Tutsis.. Women in Arab countries that have to cover every inch of skin. I wrote about child brides and talked about the struggles these girls face and how they are being stripped of their lives at a young age. However, when she gave me back my first draft, she told me that I was talking about a social problem and not a group. So, if any of you could help me out in picking a group to write about that would fall into three of these nine categories: of gender, ageism, marxist, modernization, dependency, imperialism, nationalism, ec...
