I want to choose college!!

Hello Sir Or Madam,
I was in !2th standard which is a board exam in India. Few days back I got my Result and unfortunately/fortunately i got 53% (percent) with physics, chemistry and biology. Also with english and computer and the main three PCB subjects i got 62.6%(percent). So for medical with PCB i must have 90 above but i have only 53. Please any one who have good knowledge for career tell me what should I do? I don't wnat to do B.Sc. Or M.Sc.as in INDia It has no future financial scope. Also it can only make me a teacher or a professor which I dont want to be! please help me out!

College in fall

17/f. My mom is vehemently against my going to college in the fall of this year, she wants me to wait a year. I applied to various schools without her knowledge or consent because I'm not willing to wait a year before going. I sent off my enrollment deposit to the school I'm going to and I've been working with my principal and my Gifted and Talented coordinator, trying to get my mom in to a meeting to discuss the prospects of me going in fall. Well, she's refused to go to the meeting, thinks I'm still waiting a year. I have to send in the tuition and housing deposit and forms to my school, and they have to be signed by a parent since I'm under 18, but I called the school and explained my situation and they agreed that I could sign it myself...

SAT II Subject Tests

Hey I'm a junior and planning to take an SAT II soon. Maybe Biology or Math 1. What kind of books are good for preperation? I know theres Barrons and The Princeton Review, but I'm not sure which one to get, or any others.
Has anyone tried any or more of those books? I'm looking for one with a lot of examples and practice - with explanations. Any help is appreciated, thanks. P.S. - does College Board make a prep book for subject tests?

Family History

Alrighty, here's some good news for everyone; school ends in a about 7 weeks, yaaay!
Now, to my question..my final school project is about genealogy (you know family history, family tree's and so on) and it's supposed to be really big (minimum 10 pages, maximum 30)and it's like 25% of our grade. So I really need some inspiration, maybe some ideas on HOW to write it or make it interesting? I've tried searching on google to find articles or papers on the same thing for ideas, but didn't really find anything, so if you can point me to some article you found interesting that would be great :)

Ok, heres the thing I dont really know what is wronge with me. so I thought maybe someone eles might. I use to LOVE men I could'nt stand to be single. But now I'm lonely and empty inside, and dont really want A man. It's like I just have no interst I a relashionship. I'm not even interested in meetting anyone or dating the guy's that ask me out. When normally I would be datting or hell even in a relashionship with this really hot guy that wants to take me out. I really like him but I just dont have interest in datting him.What is wronge with me? Am I in love with my ex BUDDY? My friends think so. They say he broke me bad. I miss him alot. I heard that in England and some parts of Europe, you can get a degree for your major without taking "required classes". Is that true?
Like if one wanted to be an architect, one would only have to take classes to be an architect.

I don't know if I wanna go to college, but I know I'm at least gunna try it out. I'm not really the scholar though. I've taken tons of slack classes in highschool and stuff. A few questions...
1: If I find that college is not for me, what do I do with the rest of my life and work/money?
2: Is it true that businesses don't pay much attention to your college GPA? (Do they only care that you got a degree?)

I've finally decided where to go to college next year. I cancelled the housing/dorm form since I figured I could live with my sister in her apartment right by the school. I thought this would be great since the dorms at the school are notoriously crazy and that's not me at all.
Yet, now I'm having second thoughts. I already have a boyfriend, so I'm not worried about finding a 'hot guy' to hook up with or anything, but asside from classes, will I meet as many people? Would I be missing out on basic college experiences if I don't live in a dorm?

my friend goes to a community college and is currently majorin in accounting bc his mom made him, he hates it, is there still a chance to change it? hes not doin so well he suppose to be a junior but bc he failed hes a sophomore.

i would like to study a course called bicom (bachelor of international comunication management) pls tell me more about this course like what i could do with it where i could work and other opportunities i also speak german language and i want to learn either french or spanish havent made up my mind yet but whichever i choose does it give me some edge in my bicom career.

Theatre Major

I have two schools at the moment that I am most interested in for college. If anyone knows anything about the selectivity of either for their theatre programs, I would love some information. The two schools are:

Alright, I am a sophomore in high school but I have been researching information on various colleges. There a quite a lot of terms & other stuff of that sort that don't exactly make sense to me. Therefore, I'm hoping maybe some people who are in college or who know this information could help me, I'd really appreciate it.
Ok, this is about financial aid...
*What is the difference between: Federal Grants, State Grants, Institutional Grants, & Loans?
*Generally how do most people do college? For example do most people start off taking basic REQUIRED classes & THEN take majors of their choice?

I want to be a theatre major in college & I have known that this is what I want to do for a very long time. However, my parents do not seem to escept the fact that I can get a job at all with a BA or BFA in acting or theatre. I really want to be a theatre teacher, even if I can't be an actress, which is what I dream about doing. However, my mom started screaming at me that for me acting is not a career & just a hobby & she will not pay for a private school education for me to major in theatre. I told her I would go to a public school & at first she said "fine, if that's what you want to do" & then she changed it & told me that it would be a retarted thing to major in. It seems like she has absolutely no sup...

I've been searching the internet for good colleges for an English or Journalism major, but I can't seem to find sites that will tell me which ones are considered the best ones in the country. I know that UNC and MU are nice, but that's about it... Anyone know of more?
