Job searching with diabetes Posted Tuesday April 11 2006, 4:42 pm
I am a type 1 diabetic and have been since I was 14. Everthing is going good with my diabetes, but I am at an age where I will be looking at colleges and jobs. Does anyone know if there are special forms to fill out on applications? And if I am going to work, how do I inform my (potential) boss that I have special health issues?

First job Posted Sunday April 2 2006, 2:56 pm
I am 19, and am nervous about applying for a job. I have no previous experience, and am concerned that most places would rather hire someone younger with no experience b/c they have a good reason not to have experience. I don't want a great job, just like at a video store or somehting. Do I just go ahead and apply? What should I do?

working Posted Sunday March 5 2006, 12:24 am
I'm applying for Baskin Robbins, and I was just wondering if there's a higher chance of me getting a summer job if I turn it in this month as opposed to turning it in the week before summer starts. Because I told my friend I was going to apply tomorrow, & she just told me to wait until the summer to apply.
Also, does anyone know any other place I could apply that hires 15 year olds? (Something like restaurants/fast food/etc)

summer jobs Posted Wednesday March 1 2006, 4:27 pm
Hi, I'm a 14 year old female, turning 15 this month. I really need a job for the summer just to take some time off of my hand and so that I can earn some money. I would really like a job at a restaurant or fast food chain or something, so does anyone know any places that would accept someone my age? I know McDonald's and Burger King hire 14+ but there are no more spots for hire since everyone goes there to work. Or any suggestions? (Babysitting isn't really a good option -- I am a huge pushover and I'm horrible with kids/pets.)
