Well I'm not sure where to begin but it seems my past is always afecting every dream every desier and hopes that I have now in the present I was always told that the past is the past and it shouldn't. Be dug up but its always there kicking me in the teeth .I'm not a bad person.in fact I would give the shirt off my back to a complete stranger but people always take advantage of my kindness when I was 16 my mother devorced my dad and I was emancipated as an adult I was living on my own since then I'm 39 now my family has always treated me like an outcast I'm with a woman now we live together as comon law I talk to her about my feelings but I get no comfort just suck it up its ok but its not ok I regret everything that has hapend to me in my p...

Strange feelings about killing myself

Lately I've been thinking alot about just killing myself. Also i have always been a very emotionally detached perosn and Im not depressed or anything. furthermore, I have asked some very trusted people who assured me I dont act or sound depressed. Even so, I keep getting that feeling of just saying fuck it and killing myself. lately I have been partying alot more than I used to and my life probably has never been better, but I just keep feeling like i should just end it. any reason after 18 and half years of little or no emotion, i might be feeling like this now?

Why do I feel depressed when I drink alcohol?

I drink alcohol occasionally when I go out with my friends. Everyone seems to be having a great time when we're drinking except me. I always feel really, really sad. It's weird because I could be having the best day of my life but when I start to drink I really get down and low about everything. I end up crying and really ruining the mood for everyone. I have decided not to really drink any more because of this but I'm curious why it happens. Does anyone know why alcohol changes my mood?

16/f so i get panic attacks once and awhile and thats fine cause i can deal with those, but lately ive been having this weird thing happen, i have no idea what it is...
so it started off just being at night right before i went to bed but now i get it just at random times. its like a huge panic attack but not.

Hi, I am 17f and I just broke my foot at the beggining of summer. Usually I would have my job at the local grocery store, be able to take my dog for walks, go out with friends, and go visit people, but with a broken foot that is hard to do...
Now, I am stuck inside and though I have some hobbies (drawing, crocheting, sewing, baking, designing) I feel as if I need something more to do. Things get boring after a while. Most of my friends are out having fun, working, or are away. Without crutches I can stand up for about fifteen minutes before I need to sit, so I was able to make muffins the other day (Still a little hard though). I know this is going to sound a bit weird.

Is it normal to be afraid of butterflies?

I have a bad fear of butterflies. I think they are very pretty creatures, especially for insects, but I am terrified of them. I will actually try to dodge them when they fly around me so that they don't touch me or land on me. I know they're not going to hurt me but I don't know what about them makes me so scared.
I have had friends laugh at me and think I'm just being stupid but I'm seriously afraid of butterflies. I have met one other girl who said she was afraid of butterflies too but I didn't get to talk to her about it so I don't know if she was maybe lying to me in the end.
Is it normal to be afraid of butterflies? Is it OK to be afraid of butterflies?

I'm not sure if this is in the right category... But anyway, I am 21 Female and I hate my personality. I kinda always have!. I have a lot of things wrong with me. I'm lazy, selfish, socially awkward, jealous, geeky, crazy and I let people down easy. I cant tell AT ALL if I am bugging, hurting, offending or embarrassing someone. I cant hold a conversation and I have a hard time starting them. When I have them people usually find me awkard to talk to cuz I dont know how to react. People tell me to be myself and thats who I am so I desperately dont want to be myself. There are tons of ways to change outer appearance, I'm wondering if there are ways to change your personality. Hey I'm evan. i am 15 years old and have two illnesses im having problems with. i have been diagnosed with pretty serious melanoma skin cancer for the second time which i am going through chemo for. i think i may also have ocd. im not a really a germaphobe - i dont wash my hands all the time or anything but i do have a huge problem with peoples spit and touching anything that goes into my mouth. also when my older brother and i are playing video games and he leaves the case of the game open i feel like i have to shut it or it will keep distracting me. i also cant stand strings on peoples clothes. im def not a neat person. my room is a pit and my locker at school was always a mess. i guess i see certain symptoms of ocd but others are complet...

Hello everyone,
I live in NY and if anyone can help me I'd be really grateful. Unfortunately, I was randomly harassed by some disgusting man on the street. I called the cops, and literally almost killed this man if I would have had a weapon. According to the cops, he's "legally blind" (although he did quite well in pin pointing me out and grabbing my butt) and "slightly disturbed". I'm extremely infuriated at the fact that this guy was let go as if nothing ever happened. Is that even possible? God knows how many little kids have been touched by this creep. If anyone can help me out here on what I can do, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!

someone posted a question on here about thinking they had a panic attack and asked for the symptoms. i read one of the user's replies and most of those symptoms were what happened to me earlier today. i was having chest pains, hot flashes, my pinky started going numb, my heartrate was wild, etc. only thing i'm confused about was i wasn't worrying about anything at the time. i was just sitting on a curb smoking. then it hit me out of nowhere. i don't have a history with panic attacks or a panic disorder. i do get anxiety a lot, but it hasn't been happening very much lately. does anyone know why this happened, or was this something else?
