Well I dont mind performing witha friend but since i have to do one act alone im like very scared i was thinking of actintiong out a puppet show you know so people could not see my face.Pls help i neeed it fast.

How to be a good writer?

First off I'm 14 and a chick and sorry if this is in the wrong category.
I love writing stories with my favourite character Alexei, sometimes creepy or scary, always involving deaths.
My dad is an English/Creative writing teacher and he proofreads them and also I take a creative writing class.
I want to be a better writer, and use better word choices and make the stories creepier or sadder, any suggestions? Thank you!

Does anyone have any ideas for a Film?

So, I'm thinking of making a short movie for my GCSE Art final piece for this term.
I've chosen Fear as a topic, and I've been taking photos, doing artist studies, observational drawings, etc. But I've decided to make a movie as my final piece, there aren't any time limits that I know of.
Ideas that I have:
A documentary about what people fear ( As in people talking)
Acting out a couple of nightmares, or scenes.
Making up a horror scene.
So, that's what I've managed to come up with, if anyone has any extra ideas, some short movies I can watch for inspiration, or any scenes I could act out. No matter how small your idea is, please post it.
Also, I need some good horror/creepy music.
Any suggestions are appreciated. (:

a 90's movie I can't remember the name of... can you help?

OK, it’s a bunch of little movies in one and it’s a 90’s movie and it’s not a cartoon. I remember one had a hoola-hooping baby sitter and when she put the kid to sleep he yelled because he heard something in his room. So she came in and gave him milk and cookies. Then the closet door opened and it was a goofy monster and they became friends and ate the cookies and milk. The other story I remember was a girl who got a delivery at her house and it was a carpet and when she sat on it it would fly around her house. IT’S DRIVING ME CRAAAAAAAAAZY.

Hey,
I'm 16 and give a lot of advice but can't find the answer to my own. I've been into acting for 4 years and want to make it in the business, it's really all I want to do. I'm pretty confident and a positive thinker. I'm doing "performance studies" as a course now. But I'm from a little town in England,which is not on the map, and most people havent even heard of it. Is there any hope? I'm so dedicated and committed to anything that I'll get a chance to do. I just want to break out and make it big! But there are NO auditions here, and if they are they are really far away and my parents both work till late and I feel helpless because I don't know how or what to do. Is there any hope at all? I am good on playing emotions, anything to do with emotional/mental pain. Also, comedy too, feminist characters.

hellow i am 18 years old and i am now in norway been here for 5 months only to work i am going back home to iceland in desember but what should i do after that like many other i dream of becoming an moviestar but first i have to start out as theater actress if i will get the chance :/ i want to do everything as quick as i can i dont know why i just feel like i dont have the time, what school should i go to in england i am kinda shy and i dont have much experiance though i played some lead roles in school but that was long time ago but if i would find any school in england where could i stay like me and my family we are really poor and that is mostly that has stopped me from everything if i had some money i would had gone to singing lessons ...

How to talk like Lina Lamont in Singin in the Rain (without spraining your

I am a mezzosoprano, so I have a naturally low to medium-pitch voice. I auditioned for the role of Lina, and I figured out how to sound like her, but my throat hurts very bad after trying to "Lina-ize" my voice. The callbacks list will be posted on Saturday, and if I am on the list, I will probably need to "sing" What's Wrong With Me? and do some dialogue.
I don't want to lose my voice (I sing in choir a lot and musicals are my life), but I want to try out to play Lina since I can't dance very well. lol
Any tips to creating that nasally, high-pitched voice she has without spraining a vocal chord? Thanks!

ok so i am a cheerleader and a gymnast. i undertand about gymnastics and stuff.
but i dont understand the significance of the ice bath in the stick it film.
i was always told a hot hot hot bath is the one to help pains and that.
what does the cold ice bath do?

probation/career

i'm 19, going into my sophomore year of college. last month me and my best friend/roommates got citations for minor in possession of alcohol. we were on private property and all blew low [i blew a .007] and it was our first offense so we were praying to get some leniency but didn't. anyway we went to court 2 days ago, pled guilty, and now have fines and 6 months probation with alcohol classes & drug/alcohol tests. our PO is supposed to talk to the judge about the first offender plea to try to help us out and clear this from our record. we've realized our wrongs, have not drank since and dont plan on it. what i'm worried about now is this staying on my record and interfering with my future. ironically im in school studying criminal justi...

acting vs my nerves

I am a college student and I want to be an actress but the only thing that is holding me back is my nerves. Once I am in the scene I am fine but thinking about going into auditions scares me! Mainly becuase in the beginning i turn beat red and shake a little but then once I get going im fine but how do i get rid of that anxiety in total?
By the way I am taking a summer course at stella adler next summer which is a very good acting program so im hoping that helps but im still embarressed that i will be the only shy person in the classes
