is it acceptable for boys and girls allowed to swim in the same pool?

at my daughters school next year,(9th grade) in PE there will be a swim unit and boys and girls have it together? Why is this allowed? Wouldn't this make girls feel uncomfortable. Wouldn't boys use this opportunity to harass or humilate girls? Also, why are boys allowed to be shirtless in the presence of girls? Why is no sense of modesty maintained

im only a few weeks pregnant, but i have been getting really sick. i have a urinary tract infection and i also have a cold. im going to go to the doctor soon but i have to wait until i have the money. i have had the uti for about a week. Im concerned for the baby since its so early in the pregnancy. If i wait any longer will this have a serious affect on it? and with me having a cold also, will this cause a problem. this is my first so im concerned.

i'm not together with with the father of my children and i don't let him near them. he is a very bad person; he dose drugs all the time, gets drunk, gets in fights, hurts his family, smokes, and doesn't have a job or an education. he loves me and our kids but he is easily made angry and he used to take his anger out on us; yell at me a lot, has hurt a few times, cussed and said very inappropriate things in front of our kids. so i don't want him putting the kids though that anymore. dose keeping my kids away from there father make me a bad parent?

I am a 17 year old girl and just started wantin to enter the sex world. How do i tell my mom that i want to start having sex with out going crazy on me. I really dont want to go behind her back and do it but i have a feelin i will if i cant tell her soon. Sex has become a urge for me and i really want it. Please help me find a way to tell her.

I know I will probably get a lot of rude replies, but.. I feel it is the best for my child. I am currently going through a divorce, and of course there is a child involved. The thing is, I never wanted to have her, but because of my religion I was unable to get an abortion. During the time I've raised her, I could never love her. I did try with all my being, but I just could not love her. I am also concerned for her because of her father. I feel the reason I can't care about her is because I hate her father. I felt it may be best if I gave up on her and allowed her to live with him and his family. Is me being unable to love her a valid reason to be able to terminate my parental rights?

Son getting threats at home

Please, help me! My 16 boy is very thin. He had a few friends and they were not good for him. Anyway, I thought he'd see it in time. Well, one of them came and fought him at my house and one videoed it. It got online and the teasing got worse. My son said if I do something it will get worse. Fast forward to today, my son has these boys picking on him at school and coming to my house in a group to fight. Luckily, he wasn't home but the boys saw me and told me they wanted to chill with him. HELP I want to beat the shit out of all of them.

Ok so i had sex with my boyfriend and im scared that i might be pregnant and i can not tell by if i miss my period because i dont have mine. do to my birth controll. so im afraid that i might be and my parents wont give me any money so i dont have any way to buy a test... im also 18 and still in high school.. I DONT KNOW WHAT IM GOING TO DO IF I AM MY PARENTS WOULD LIKE KILL ME IF I AM PREGO..

medical care for newborn baby... confusedd?

okay, im 17 years old and wont be turning 18 till december.. i am pregnant and due in september.. im covered under my moms medical insurance, and i know my baby wont be able to go under my moms because grandchildren are not covered by their grandparents medical. SO, i have to get my own medical so that the baby will be covered under my insurance.. because im under 18, it is to my knowledge that i have to get medical from the state because it is the cheapest and easiest way i guess..? butttt...... my mom is telling me that if i get medical from the state, my boyfriend has to pay child support to the state.. is that true? he doesnt believe me because he hates my mom and he thinks my mom is trying to screw him over...

Should I make my child pay for there own things?

My daughter is 13 and I'd like for her to start paying for her new clothes, accesories, and basically everything. Of course I would still pay for her food and keep a roof over her head. She doesn't have a job but she gets $5 a week for allowance. Do you think it's okay to make her start paying for stuff?

Mental Abuse Of a 6 Year Old Girl

my ex had full custody of my 6 year old daughter,i heard stories of abuse and neglect so i called the 800 # for abuse and neglect the local cps went out said ;there were no findings' that was 2009,september 2010 they went out again because of new allegations,this time it was founded,my daughter was removed because mother and stepfather were abusing drugs neglecting my daughter,and the mother was abusing her mentally as well,this was all admitted in court by the mother,instead of me getting my child she was placed with step fathers family non blood,the mother told cps i wasnt in my childs life etc,i am applying for custody in 2 weeks,now she and stepfather get 'supervised visits' and the supervisors are the step fathers family,my daughters d...

I am a 19 year old female from the East Coast. I am from a middle-class family and I attend one of the most prestigous business schools on the coast. I have multiple part time jobs, but have no financial strains.
I have been dreaming about having a child for a year and a half now. Frankly, it's more than dreamining, its yearning. I so badly want to be the mother to my own child. From June 2009-March2010, I was with the same man who shared the same desire for a child. We've since seperated and I've been with another man since October 2010. Should I homeschool my child? How to teach my child social skills?

My daughter is about school aged and I am trying to decide if I should home school her. My only problem with the idea of homeschooling is that she won't have the social interaction like other kids. I'm not really sure what mothers do when homeschooling children so that the child has enough social interaction with peers to develop correct social skills. What's your opinion on this and are there any methods of teaching that involve other children (preferably small groups or only a couple of children at a time) so that my child can develop the necessary social skills without the need to go to public schools?
