What counts as a disability?

I have to write an esay about how we can use technology to make the campus more inclusive of those with disabilities.
But what counts as a disability? Obviously physical ones that you can see but what about mental health like autism, etc?

How Long Does it Take For a Broken Finger to Heal?

Ok so I was playing football and it bent my finger backwards and I got it x-rayed and I have a 1.1mm fracture (a broken bone) and they put it in a splint for a week. It looks like a nail file attached to my finger with tape (nothing special) and I dont think it will heal within a week. Well will it? I know the docter said it would but I honestly dont trust him. Wont it still be broken? (Btw haha, I broke my middle finger) =P

What kind of homes are there for the elderly, not a nursing home?

Like homes that have ppl check up on elderly people. Cause my great grandmother fractured her neck and fell on her face today. This is not the first time she has fell. She broke her hip before. And she lives in a different town from most of her relatives. We live 30-45 minutes away from her city and she lives by herself. I think nurisng homes are bad and I've seen some people in there. My great grandma is 95 yrs old and she has problems with remembering things too. Is there homes that can have people check up on her?

Popped My Knee And Now It Hurts..

I was jumping over obsticals as I do everyday and because my ankle is sore I have to jump a little different today. Over one of my bigger jumps I had to twist my leg to get it over the jump and my knee popped. It hurt pretty bad and it still hurts 10 minutes later. I sure it's not dislocated but what should I do to stop the pain and what do you thing happened? I know your not doctors but still... Thanks!

bleeding from inside after fingering

hi, so my bf fingered me yesterday n after i came back home i noticed some blood on the tissue so i freaked out n i told my bf .. n we both think that i probably just got scratched inside ... plus it was not the first time he fingered me.
this morning, i was a little scared touching my area ... to check if there is more bleeding or not ... but then there was nothing ... but then i was like maybe if i do the same thing my bf did ... blood mite come it ... i just wanted to check... so i kinda did it slightly from outside though .. i didnt go in .. n after that i went to the bathroom .. the tissue had some blood. i used my mini mirror to c it ... but there was nothing visible ... is it serious .. pls help me ... or is it a scratch which ll be healed ... pls help fast m freaking out!!

Jaw popping

Yesterday when I was driving my jaw popped idk why tho. And it was a sudden pain that only lasted in the moment. Now today everytime I eat/open my mouth my jaw keeps popping what is this?
Also my parents jaws pop when they eat sometimes so idk if that has anything to do with it. But how do I stop this!

A weird bubble on my toe

I have a weird looking bubble on one of my toes, its kinda squishy and its huge! Should I pop it? what is in it causing it to be so squishy? Any advice will be appreciated :)

I bleed when I go to the bathroom

When I go to the bathroom it hurts and stings. When I tried to make myself poop there was blood, today there was kind of a lot of more blood.When I feel like I have to go to the restroom sometimes I can't poop and I try to make myself go. This happened to me last summer too and its happening again and I think the doctor said it was hemorroids, but I don't want the doctor looking at me again.What can I get from the store to stop whatever it is? If I go to the doctor what will they have to do?

Cut Gum

I had a root canal and my gum was cut. After a week it still hurts and a chunk of my gum hangs from the roof of near the tooth from the roof of my mouth. Although in pain, should I have it removed or will it heal and grow back on its'own?

Chest injury

I have an injury to my chest (not sure what yet, am awaiting test results). It's keeping me off work and then because I'm off work I don't want to go to college, so I'm off that too. Have been off for 5 days now. I am desperate to go back to work but it is such a physical job I dont know when I can.
My test results should be about 10 days. The main suspicion is a fracture to my sternum or a muscle tear.
How can I make myself less depressed about not being able to go to work? How can I help myself get better?

I need help... NOW!! Bump on my head-What to do?

Ok, so last night, I was laying down in my car. I was looking at my ring, up high, and it fell right on my forehead. Now, i felt my forehead, and it feels really bumpy and it hurts. It hasn't made a mark, yet.
It REALLY hurts. What do I do to make it not hurt/heal it?

Is the fact that I can still see the scars on my arm a bad sign?

In October 2011 I had minor scratches on my arm and I can still see the scars clear as day and its now February 2012. Is there something I should be concerned about? The scratches were no worse than if a cat scratches you.

So, Im a 13 year old girl who cuts. I started at 11. Its nothing big. Im happy most of the time. Except at home. Im not looking for people judging. I have about 7 people i talk to about everything. But only 2 know it all. Im just wondering, what to do? How can i stop? Is there an easy way out? How do i avoid questions about scars? Do i just say i cut myself? Or do i stay silent? What can i do to get rid of the scars? Someone??

I burned my hand with hot water and now I can't get rid of the scabs!

I don't remember when, I remember it was within about a month ago, but I went out without gloves one night and I didn't put on lotion. Then, when we've been out for about 2 hours, I was in the car and I noticed that my skin had a bunch of tiny pink cracks and you could see that they were fresh. They stung when I touched them. So, when I went home, I put lotion on to soothe it. Then, a while later when it sunk in, I washed my hands with really hot water that stung (now I know it was a horrible mistake) and after that I noticed that I had burned my hand with the hot water. So, the morning after that I woke up and my hand was still bright red and I was worried so I put a little bit more lotion on it. It stopped hurting, but it was still red. T...

Dealing with self injury scars

This is something that a rarely talk about its been bothering me for a while. When I was 12-15 years old I felt with self injury and a eating disorder, now 18 I have scares all over my body, and even tho most have faded they are still noticeable to me. I'm very insecure to wear bathing suits, and even sometimes I feel self conscious while having sex with my fiancé, who has been there for me ever since i started cutting. He said he dosnt mind the scars and what's Important to him is me not my body, but I still feel uneasy.
Are there any meds I can use to fade the scares on my stomach, ankles and thighs?

im 14/f and last year or probably before that becasue i just turned 14, i waxed my chest becasue i thought i had hair. (it was like blonde, but i guess i was freaking out over it) so then a couple monthes later i found like bumps on my chest. tiny bumps. i popped some, and that helped a little. but there was no puss or anything, just a little blodd and i sanitized it. but then it like starting spreading on my boobs. and so then i went to the doc like a year ago. he gave me like prescription pimple cream. it helped but then they came back a couple monthes later. so then i started using exfoliater, that helped but eventually came back..again! and im using exfoliater again but im almost out...and im probablly going to go back to the doc. again...

Sore back passage

This is completely embarrassing to ask, but my boyfriend when we have sex seems to like to stick his finger into my butt and now it is EXTREMELY sore and when I use the bathroom it has like a horrible pain that I just can't really describe that almost made me cry. I don't know if it is just sore from him messing with it or if it's something different.

I got my hair caught in a comb and it riped my hair out

Omg so yesterday I was combing my bangs bc they were getting alittle out of place, i accidentally started twirling my comb in my bangs and it got caught. I managed to get most of my bangs out of the comb but some of it (fair chunk) was still stuck. I twisted it all sorta of directions but nothing worked. Suddenly, the comb broke free and i thought i was fine. I looked down at the comb and it had the hair in it. It had ripped out a big chunk of hair and it is my bangs and i have short bangs tht are side bangs. I had just got my hair cut earlier that day and now I have a peice of my scalf showing and I dont know how to hide it. Please help me, school starts in 2 days :(

Spider bite turned black and dead looking

I am not sure if this is the right category. But a spider bite me. Its like my meat around it is dead it made a small circle witch is now black. It is very sore. And we are too broke to go to the dr. Any home tips. We cleaned it whit Poroxside. And we clean it every night. HELP PLZ 13/f
