3.60 GPA

Posted Friday June 15 2007, 5:44 am

If someone tells you they have a 3.60 GPA is it possible to estimate around how many As, Bs and Cs they got? Is it possible to get that kinda grade point average if you for example have 50% of your grade as a C and the other 50 as A? (hope I'm making sense)

community college or university?

Posted Tuesday June 12 2007, 2:51 am

I have been accepted at a university and at a community college. I don't have much money, though. I was thinking about going to the community college and transfering. Would that be risky? What are the odds of the university accepting me again after I go to a 2-year school?

College

If I wanted to own my own business, such as a tanning salon (or something along those lines), I know I would go to school to major in business. But what would I minor in? If there's not anything specific, what would be a good idea FOR ME to minor in?

SATs

Posted Monday June 11 2007, 3:13 am

Im an american citizen but I've lived in Europe my whole life. I've always planned on going back for University, now that it is time to do so, I found out I need to take the SATs. The SAME SATs you all take. In english. I can't do it! I've never studied MATH in english, I definitely will not be able to pass the reading/wriing part of it since the only english I ever speak is during the summer when I visit my cousins! I speak fluently, but I'm way beind in the other areas. And it's not like all I need to do is PASS, I need really OUTSTANDING scores. How do I prepare? I've heard in America you have special books that help you and professors and all sorts of preparations. I don't think I'll be able to get ahold of that kind of material. What s...

Profession Options

Posted Sunday June 10 2007, 7:55 am

My whole life I've been told and thought I'm stupid. Because I'm not school-book smart. I don't get good grades in the "smart subjects" like science, math and so on. I am so sick of believing this. I'm a different type of smart. I know I can make something of myself.

I am especially good at 3 things; public speaking & reaching out to people, languages (I know 4 different languages and intend on learning several more) and I sympathize, more than anything. People always turn to me because of that, I long to help. More than anything.

I've researched at least a hundred different professions in my attempt to find a major that will equip me with the right tools to help save the innocent from the corrupt...

Musical theater conservatory

Posted Monday June 4 2007, 12:49 am

So I'm a high school thespian who has a future in musical theater, but I haven't decided which conservatories (possibly universities) to consider auditioning for.

It must have a strong musical theater concentration, and no academic subjects, and also it can't have high expectations on grades (or better yet, none at all). and i'd like the college to be well-known. something that will really look good on my theatrical resume.

so if you could give me the names of some that would be great. thanks.

NYU!

Posted Sunday June 3 2007, 5:47 pm

New York University, people! I've googled my butt off today and know as much as possible through that about the school, but I need more! Does anyone go there, know anyone who does? This is my future we're talking about so don't kid around please! What kinda grades do you need? How do you apply (if you dont live in the states) is it a good school? Do you have to know what kinda thing you want to get into before applying (since there are so many different schools in one) like do I have to know what I'll be majoring in? What kidna things are important to look into about the school? Is it hard getting good grades? Lots of different cultures? Do you live co-ed? ANYTHING YOU CAN TELL ME - PLEASE!

paying for Uni

Posted Friday June 1 2007, 2:27 pm

Sorry this is long, but I'm not sure how else to explain everything.

I live in America, but I recently accepted a place at a school in England to start Uni this fall.
I did two years of schooling at a community college in FL and received an Associate's degree, and had a full scholarship to continue onto a University anywhere in FL, but I couldn't find a school that had a programme that I was interested enough in.
By the time I start Uni this fall, it will have been two years since I graduated from college. I took the time off to figure out exactly where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do, and also to give myself a break since I felt completely burned out from studying.
My only problem is that my dad'...
