what would you do if this was your mother?

I am 19 years old, and about to finish my first year of college, with a 4.0. I'm a good person, and all that.
Anyway, I still do not have my license. Through high school the classes were too expensive, & i couldn't afford insurance. So, now I can, (and have been able to since last year) my mom lets me drive on occasion. Mainly back streets and such. My 16 year old brother gets to drive much much more then me. Main roads, etc. When I ask if I can drive or if we can practice, she laughs. I've come to the conclusion, that she just doesn't want to let me go.
If i tell her I am going downtown, etc. she freaks out, and bribes me with money or something so I won't go. Since I can't drive, & neither can my clo...

Alright so about 20 mins ago me and my little brother were playing soccer and he keep saying penalties and saying no take it back do it again I wasn't ready (throw ins) and at the end he just I don't know I think its more my problem but i threatened to kick his ball up the back yard pitch dark 3 acres but I actually wasn't he was just annoying me ( Im not that mean I hope ) and any way went down to the house and he annoyed me so I kicked about 5 meters away and chased after the ball like him he got it then I pushed him over and he tried to get up I pushed him he quicker me and all and I keep doing it to him then I got the ball again and he started crying. My dad HATES his side of the family for an unknown reason. I can never go to their house(s) because he forbids me to see SOME of them!
I made plans for Friday to do with my cousin(I already met her) and when I told him, he was like "Uh no your not" and my mom said it was ok!!!
I talked to him about it and he said "Until your 18 you live under MY rules" and stupid crap like that. I'm not waiting like 7 years to see them!!!
What do I do? I can't talk to him because he walks away from me and shuts his door!!!!

Well basically since I was 10 my nextdoor neighbour started harassing us. Not going to go into details but one major thing that happened was he hit my mums boss around the head with a hammer when she was at my house because he was making noise out his front and walked over hands behind back then hit her full force and she near died. Basically my nextdoor neighbour has been causing my family to fall apart from stress from him as he bangs on his walls which we can hear from our house, he tries to force himself into our house and because of him one time my dad and mum had an arguement and my dad went away n I thought he was gone but he came back a week later, what should I do? I'm scared my families gonna fall apart as the years go on?

Hi, im 16 and just got home from school, i went on our home computer and found my dads yahoo messenger up, i became looking through them and discovered that my dad was flirting with women and asking to meet up with them; he even was alright with having sex with them , i am so scared...i cant imagine my parents getting divorced and i dont think i can bring it upon myself to tell my mom, what should i do?

okay im 15 and i was was going to dedicate a song to my step dad showing thanking him for everything he has done for me more than my real dad.
you see my real dad has never been in my life, until now he has been trying to talk to me i dont wanna to talk to him but my mom said o should get to kno him but anyways i just wanna let my step dad he is the number one dad and he wont ever be replaced.

I have these cousins, 4 to be exact that live near me. I'll call them A,C,L,&J. A (11/m) and C (8/f) are siblings and L (8/f) and J (11/m) are siblings as well. Since my mom and their moms are really close, we all hang out at each others houses and go places together often. I have a brother and a sister around the same of the cousins, so they have little cliques, a girl one and a boy one. But there's nobody my age around. Every time they see me, they all gang up against me and insult me. Like the other day, we went to a fun house and I A and L both made fat jokes about me (I'm a little chubby) and they call me things like nasty, fat, and a witch and treat me like crap. So to give some backstory my father was am obsessive lier (i didnt know him) however i recently Lied to my mother about handing a form into my school (which was an accident)and now she will not trust me with anything and asks how can i trust you. my mom is always yelling at me and my sister and brother. She always makes me do things that she can do. She always says her back hurts really bad to where she cant walk but she walks around the house perfectly. She yells at my sister and spanks her to where she lays on the floor and cries.I always feel like crying when she yells at my step dad.And i feel like he is gonna leave us.She always yells and throws stuff for no reason.Just now she said my little sister didnt get spanked and i saw her.My mom put my brother through a wall what do i do to stop her from being an idiot to me and my family?

i am a 14 year old girl. My teen son won't spend time with me

I'm a single mom of three. Two girls (19,9) one boy 18 today. He won't spend time with me. He stays in his room or hangs out with friends. today is his birthday and he doesn't want to go out to dinner with us. wouldn't travel with us for thangsgiving either. Really worried. He gets good grades and is going to a great university in the fall. He also works. But I fear he's depressed, he doesn't like me or worse...Unfortuneately, Dad isn't a very positive influence. What to do? I love my son. I need to connect but don't know how.

Hi. I am about to go crazy because my mom just won't listen to me. She thinks that my hair is too ugly and she wants me to wear clip in extensions. My boyfriend has told me not to. He likes to run his fingers through my hair. He hates them. My mom won't let me leave the house without them and she says too bad for him. Obviously, I'm angry. Before putting them on, she teases my hair so I can't take them off because after she teases it, it WILL look bad! Child Custody: Getting custody of my child back from my mother

I was 17 when i had my son. I was young immature and the father was in the same boat as me. Neither of us had any business trying to raise a child. We gave custody to my mother while each of me and the sons father got seperate visitation because we were no longer together. I am know 22 and married and have held a job three years and have my life set like a adult is suppose to and not like a 17 year old child. I am trying to approach my mother on getting custody back of my son. while i have been in his life she has been his primary care giver and my son and her love each other very much. I'm looking on how to break it to her that im going to seek custody of my son. Any advice would be great considering i sat staring at her 45 minutes trying ...

Okay so my Dad and Mum have always had a strong relationship. They kiss each other goodbye each morning and never fight. About a 10 months or a year ago, my Dad added this woman on Facebook. She is American and they met online. My mother being the loving, kind person she is, completely trusted him and never questioned his motives and I kind of forgot about it. However, recently I went on to his Facebook to see if my chat was working and I found her name on the list of people most recently talked to. I clicked on their chat session and found all these messages about her wanting to see him and get a hotel room with him and how when they met up she would wear...

My question revolves around this article I read tonight... and I would like to get opinions from real world perants, or, well, from everyone willing to state whever they have kids or not and their reasoning behind it.
Would you consider manipulting your child into doing something that you want them to do?

so my life has just been terrible. first of all i'm 17 now and have been depressed since forever. now i'm taking anti depressants but they don't really work i still feel the way i feel. so to start my mom and dad were very young when they had me. When i was 3 or 4 my dad got locked up for domestic violance against my mom then at like 6 my mom got shot and killed in front of the house by our room mate then killed himself and this is the main reason why i've been hurting. so for a while me my sister and brother were just moving around with aunts and uncles. then my dad got out and ge "converted". this would be good if he didn't hang out with these nuts that pretty much told us we'd go to hell if we did this and that.
