Chiropractic Receptionist Posted Tuesday August 15 2006, 3:14 am
This is longish and kind of all over the place- sorry, but I'm excited! There's a want ad in my paper for a chiropractic receptionist/front desk person. I'm interested in the job, but I don't have any experience working in any kind of alternative medical office. I've only worked as a temp in a Nephrology office when I was a teenager. I'm 22 now, and that was the last medical type job I had. I haven't wanted to do anything medical, but I thought the holistic medical field would be somewhat different and that I'd probably enjoy it. My last job was as a sales consultant in an art gallery, I worked there for a little over a year.( Other jobs were restaraunts, retail etc.) Business slowed down so I left. Not let go, I left voluntarily, good te...

Clothing for an interview Posted Sunday August 13 2006, 8:02 pm
So I just got called in tomorrow for an interview at this really trendy store at the mall. They sell brands like DKNY, Guess et cetera.
What should I wear to my interview? I don't have any time to get my dress pants tailored but I guess I could get it done if I really needed to, but they don't wear dress pants to work and I know I should anyway btu I thought maybe a skirt would work. I have a peasant skirts that I could wear, I have them in black, white and blue. I know I shouldn't wear camisoles without anything on over but are sleeveless tops ok or no?
I also bought two pairs of ballet flat shoes. One is black and the other is a rusted golden colour so should I try to match?
I also want to look really in style and I h...

Seeking part-time job opportunity Selma, CA Posted Saturday August 12 2006, 4:53 pm
I am a student and I also care for my son. I am looking for a part-time job opportunity in the Selma/Fresno, CA area. I have been a receptionist/secretary in the sales and marketing business. I am a hardworker, veteran of the U.S. Army, and very efficient. I am looking to work for/with anyone who would not mind my well-behaved son coming along with me. I've heard real estate is a profitable opportunity. A mother I know shows homes to clientele with her two-year-old son in tow. I am very excited to start up!!!!!!!! Thank you for this opportunity!

I'm 16 and desperate for a job. So I posted a "resume" online (even though I had almost nothing to put on it), and someone e-mailed me with a job at Home Depot. They said that the job was in marketing and I would only work weekends.
My question: what is marketing? What do you think I would be doing at Home Depot and do you think I'll be one of those people who has to lift wood and other heavy stuff (I'm not very strong)? Thank you!

Shes leaving Posted Wednesday August 2 2006, 1:06 am
i work with this girl that is leaving for college in about 2 weeks. Shes been working in this store for a year and a half. She doesnt do anything that actually helps the store out because she leaves it for everyone else to.
Im a senior and im staying at my job. Shes telling me and everyone else that after college lets out for the summer next year she is coming back and they are hiring her back and shes going to be gettting a promotion.
Now i really dont think she deserves to come back and get a job right away nor a promotion.
What can i do to make sure this girl does not get her job back? Or should i should let it go?

summer/After-school job Posted Monday July 31 2006, 11:56 pm
15/f Hi. I was wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions for after school jobs. I really need the money to save up to buy a car when I am 16 (about 6-7 months)
I'll be starting school in a few weeks and I want to plan ahead, maybe even start in the end of the summer.
The only problem is that I am 15.
Any good ideas? As many as possible would be great.

Work from home, Independent consulting Posted Monday July 31 2006, 5:16 pm
I am a stay-at-home mom of a 1 year old. I start school very soon and my husband and I have a tight budget. I've been looking into work at home jobs. Most of them on the internet are scams that I've seen. A couple I know started working from home as independent consultants. They just bought a home and go on vacations and outings daily. They have substantial income from the "projects" that they do, working only 3 to 4 hours a day. How do I get this perfect job?

making money Posted Wednesday July 26 2006, 2:47 pm
I'm 13/f and I live in Texas. My mom is starting to make me use my own money to buy clothes and cosmetics. The problem is, I have no way to make enough money. My mom says I could do work around the house, but she pays me SO little! Say, $1 to do the dishes and 50 cents to water the plants outside. I used to get an allowence but ever since my parents divorce, money is tight (my dad actually makes a lot of money but he's kind of selfish and will no longer give my mom the money to give me an allowence) so I don't get it anymore. I have tried babysitting by passing oout flyers, but no one even called me; my mom says I'm too young. What should I do??? I REALLY need to find a way to earn some money...the only way I get it now is when my grandpare...
