Leaving school

I'm 17 and in my last year of school.
Last year i failed most of my exams.
But this year i really hate school and cannot be bothered and even when i do try its just not changing.
I want to go to college and do sport coaching with outdoor recreation.
I am involved in alot of sport.
I play and formed one of scotlands first 16's girls rugby league team.
I have also got my grade 1 rugby coaching award. Our team are going into school and teaching younger kids in hope of the development of rugby in scotland.
i also do alot of swimming mauy thai boxing and at the summer i achieved the 3 week classic course award john muir award and rugby ones..
I now want to leave school. i've applied for co...

Will it be devastating if I don't go to prom?

So... about senior prom. Will it be DEVASTATING if I don't go? My friends are really cynical about it and don't want to go, and no - I won't be able to convince them to go. My best friend is setting it up. She has to go. I could go with her... but I don't really know the other friends that she would be hanging out with.
The thing is - I don't really want or NEED to go. But I just don't want to go and have an awkward time because I feel like I'm OBLIGATED to go. Is prom really that big of a deal?

tips for presenting to my class

I'm really bad at presenting and I don't think I'll overcome it before I graduate high school.
My face goes red, I can feel my face burning, which makes my throat suddenly go dry and raspy and so I have to talk more quietly so keep whatever smoothness and moisture in my voice/mouth I have left. When I try to talk louder (counts for marks), it just sounds really bad so my face gets redder from embarrassment. Then the longer I’m up there and feel my face getting hotter, my eyes start to water and then OH it’s so embarrassing!
Plus, multi-tasking: breathing while talking, while focusing to not focus on the eyes starring at you, focusing to remember to make eye contact, thinking if you're doing good at the mo...

Ok I feel horrible. Its more than just school I guess. But first off I haven't doing very good in school. I'm in 9th grade. And its so hard because I feel like I'm being pressured to know what I want to do in life and college and so on. I won't be able to go to a university or anything. I'm pretty sure of that. I wanted to go to college because I want to do good in school and I don't want to fail. The only classes I gave A's in is PE and Health. The rest are B's and C's. Except Biology and Math are D's. I'm surprised I haven't had an F. Even my friends are surprised. I mean I have great friends but its pretty much expected. All my friends get good grades and I don't know whats wrong with me. I...

So I have this weird problem where when I have to read something in class, I get really nervous. My voice shakes, and I have to swallow a lot, other wise my voice gets caught on saliva, and I even tremble a little. I know this is nothing really serious, but it bothers me, and I wish I didn't get so nervous, but I can't seem to stop it. This only started recently, maybe a month ago. Can someone help me?

I go to school in a dominantly rich area. Most of the kids at my high school are very well off. Amazing cars, credit cards, all the money they can spend, the latest technology things, just have anything and everything they want. I'm not as well of as these kids so it's kind of hard for me to fit in. The girls here almost never wear the same thing twice, they carry extremely expensive hang bags, just the works. I just need some advice on how to fit in here.. I'm not going to have the latest phone, the coolest car, and I wear the same jeans like twice a week. Thanks

Aim: How impurites affect boiling point of a liquid.
problem: at a campsite, a group of student campers discovered that the three large containers of clear liquids were labelled. they knew that one of the liquids was distilled water, the other Salt solution and the third alcohol. the campers needed salt solution to cook their peas. how can they find out which one of the containers has salt solution without tasting the liquids?
among their cooking utensils they have pots and pans. their 'make-shift' laboratory equipment including matches and thermometer.
my question whats the first step i do to start this SBA? i desperatley need somebody's help.

tage fright for a fourth year actress

I have been acting for four years and usually only get smallish parts. Well this year we are holding an arts night at my school and not only am I one half of a two person play but I am the first up for it. First to peak, first out, and first play. I am so extremely nervouse because this is the first time for that kind of thing. Does anyone have a tips for me to get over tage fright?

every year my teacher brings two students to the hartford capitol (in connecticut) based on their essay. the topic of the essay is "why do you want to go to the capitol?"
at the capitol, we sit in on meetings and get to ask the representatives questions and stuff.
so can anyone give me any ideas ?
im NOT asking you to write the essay, i just need a few smart points of why this is a good idea to go to the capitol

High School Anxiety?

Okay well I'm in grade 10 and there's this high school near our house that I could have gone to but instead it took me forever to convince my dad to let me go to this other high school I wanted (which he finally agreed and I've been there since grade 9).
But my little sister is going to enter high school next year and things are getting a bit complicated. She wants to go the original high school that we were supposed to go to. But now, my dad's convinced that my school is the best one in the province (always in newspapers about things).
He told one of her friend's parents that he's taking her to my high school, so now that parent is making their child go to my school too. (Which she didn't want her to). Now al...

What type of subjects should I pick in school and also in the future; so what kind of things I should study?
A teacher I talked to said that Philosophy would be very useful, does anyone have any experience with this?
