My father never tried to fix his 3 marriages. Now he won't fix ours.

I have to say, I've done my best to defend my father. I saw the frowns on others faces when I had to tell them "Daddy couldn't make it." Worst of all, it took 7 years to find out he didn't even try but only twice. A play I was in because I had a lead role, and graduation. I was in marching band and had tons of competitions that weren't far from him. He never came to a single one. I was in 10 plays in high school. He promised me when I was little that he'd take me to the county annual father-daughter dance. For 5 years he promised. When he cheated on my mother when I was 10, I saw everything and understood everything. I couldn't afford to be naive. He was never home. It was either work or music for him. Music still rules everything...

im 21 have a younger brother 18 a younger sister 12 my dad had an affair on my mum when she was 3 and left to be with this other woman. they hve been together 7 years now. i fell preggers and told her and the first thing she said to me was that she wanted to have a baby too well 4 months later she came out and said she was 3 months preggers this was supose to be my time to shine with the glow and the big belly at now 7months my nana didnt even care about me any more she was all over my step mum like a rash, she was never there for us other kids she never got us prezzents or visited us. and she was already buying stuff for this baby and shes always at there house. anyways she has now had the baby and i feel real weird my son has a aunt 4 mon...

Am I Wrong For Feeling Like This

I wanted to know why I feel so alone and always second best. I have a few obvious reasons. My mother and I have always had a rocky relationship. Ever since my body started to develop as well as my own personality she has made fun of me. She wouldn't allow me to wear certain things my younger sister was able to wear. She also favored her more. I don't know if it was because her dad was married to my mom and she pretends to not know where my dad is. I turned to a life of drugs and prostitution at the age 17 because I was homeless. Either she was kicking me out or I couldn't take it and ran away. I still communicate with her but she doesn't make since to me. I'm 13/F and well, there's this guy I really like and he likes me back (13/M). He asked me out 4 times already and I said no to all of them. I mean, he didn't sound desperate, in fact he wasn't desperate at all. When he aked me out the 4th time I told him the real reason rather than saying, "because I'm done dating." I told him I couldn't because I didn't want to get in trouble with my family. The catch is, is that he understands, but says "I love you, I miss you," all those gushy things. I say it back to him of course, but it feels weird saying it back because of what my family would think, like they'd think I'm breaking the promise. I don't know how to say it to my mom without me probably getting in trouble. Will I get in trouble? Can anbody help me? please?

How do I convince my parents to send me to boarding school

Ok, so someday I want to go to a boarding school for highschool. (I am in 7th grade) I want to suggest this to my parents, but I am afraid they will say no and not wnt to pay for it. I live in Fresno county and I want to go to a nice boarding school that has uniforms and dorms. Please give suggestions for me for boarding schools too. but anyway, how should I tell my parents what I want to do? this is really important to me.

Sorry that it would be long. But please have patience reading this. I am 25. I met this guy when I had my vacation in Europe last year. We fell in love with each other and spent 3 months almost together. When I went back to my homeland, I just found out that I am pregnant. When my stepfather learned about it, he was really mad and said really hurtful words towards me and my fiance. I accepted everything. Good thing my stepfather lives in different country, so we just talk thru email. He's mad that I got pregnant without having savings yet same with my fiance and because my fiance is a Moslim. Saturday night I was at my younger cousin's birthday party and after most everybody had left, some of my family were sitting out on the back patio on a couch. One of my uncles was sitting next to me and all of a sudden while he was drinking, he put his legs in my lap. I moved away a little and he ended up just resting his feet against my leg. I didn't think too much of it until he started rubbing his foot against my leg and started to pull my dress back a little. But I couldn't tell if it was done subconsciously or not. should i go away to school?

i'm about to be 20 years old, & i'm very bored at the college i go to now. i'd really like to transfer to where my best friend goes. its an excellent school, its in a really fun area, & i love going down there! i just love the campus and everything. not just the night life.
it is reasonably priced, & i could afford an apartment with my friend down there easily. (coming from my own money-not my parents)
however, going there would make my mom very very sad. it is 2 hours away. i spend a lot of time with my mom, & i know she would be very upset. she gets really mad when i bring up the topic.
but, i really missed out on doing things in high school (never wen to prom, other events) ...

ok, my mom will not get me a phone no matter what.
my b-day is on sunday, and i on the 4 of july my moms bfs phone got stolen so he bought a new phone then he says that another person can get a new phone for $50 so my mom starts complaining about her phone, before i sugest me get it, so jason gets her the phone now they are talking about getting my brother a new and expencive phone, but when i ask for a phone she simply says that we have no money, BUT MY MOM AND JASON AND MY BROTHER GET A NEW PHONE, and i get nothing.
i almost yelled at her today fixing to say that she has payed over $120 and she cant buy me a phone?!
im not sure i can hold my anger for more than two more ...

Old family curse

A long time ago I was told there was a family curse. It was a big joke. But now I believe it. My daughter comes to me everyday something horrible that happened to someone she know. One girl had a seizure drove into a retention pond and drown. Another friend was run over a train. Another friend was run over by a train. That's just with in a year. I have like a million stories like this. We come from a very old Irish family. The crest is a elephant with noses up. I don't know what to do. But like everything was again me and my family. I'm 20 and my boyfriend is about 26, with a child who he never gets to see.
The thing is, I see myself with him for a long time, but from the pictures i've seen of the child I just don't think its his.
I feel guilty because I want him to prove it is, and I am hoping it will come back negative, but I do have a reason for that
1). the mother is horrible, she never lets him see the child even though he tries to be a part of his life in any way
2). I can't help but feel like I can't give him anything now, I feel like whoever you had a PLANNED first child with must be one of the most special people in your life, if I gave him a child as well it would always be second best

Grandma's Ring

My grandmother passed away about 4 months ago now. She left behind a small will, but many possessions that were not listed in the will. Currently, most of these things (decor, books, jewelry) are sitting in our house. With several items, people have just expressed interest in them and my mom or dad will just generously give them away, as we don't really need them, and it seems like what my grandma would have wanted.
There is one box, however, that has remained untouched. This is all of my grandmother's jewelry. We aren't sure of a lot of the value, and so we haven't really decided what to do with it. im a book addict, literally.
ok so i got a kindle last year on my b-day and it broke, because i had it on my bookshelf with it tilting so it would not fall. well, i had put my 8-ball (like the one used for pool) next to it and i think i either moved it the slidest bit or shoke the bookshelf and it fell and landed on my 8-ball, and i heard a crack and checked it, it was un damaged.
since i had it of my bookshelf i figured i would read it well when turned it on it showed the cracks and i freaked out.
im just wondering how to break it to her because if i tell her the screen broke she would blame it all on me. if i tell her the truth she wont beleive me.

Insults from my mother

Once when I was dancing to a song from a kids show, my mom came in and watched me. I wasn't doing anything but what the people from the show were doing (it was a Scooby Doo movie) and my mom told me I was dancing like a slut. What do I do to make her less mad at me. Because if I ever object at anything then she says she bets that if i ever were offered drugs, i would take them. She does an impression of me that sounds whiny and really really mean. I wouldn't do that but she doesn't seem to understand that.
She compares me to my "perfect" siblings and If they yell at me she always blames me for it.
My question is: what should I do to gain my mother's approval?

hi ...i got married in 2011, after one year now i know that he is bisexual. i asked him when i got married whether he wae a gay..i dn't know but i some how felt so, but he managed me that nothing was wrong. after one year now i know that he is bisexual. i dn't know what to do... i love him a lot... but he did this to me. he says that he is committed to me and what ever he did was before our wedding. he had sexual relation with 50 guys it seems... for five years. i dn't know, i cant trust him... please help me....i feel like dieing.

Not allowed to wear the clothing I want

I am 19 years old, female, from a family background of muslims (surprise, surprise).
I'm pretty much not allowed to wear what I want because everything I want to wear is considered inappropriate.
For example, yesterday I wanted to wear a skirt that is PAST knee-length, and only shows the lower shin area... which is half way to the knees. No big deal, right? Wrong! My mom just looked at me with this shocked look in her eyes, and said that we're going on a family picnic and that it's just not nice or appropriate.
And then she started drilling me on how my clothing is not appropriate or "long enough". She wants me to find tops that are like up to my knees. Like seriously? seriously?

Hi. I'm sorry if this gets lengthy. Most of it is venting. But, it will help you get a clearer picture. First let me point out that I am 21.I will be turning 22 soon. I am graduating from college this December with two Bachelors degrees and then going on to pursue a Master's. Most people tell me that they wish they had me as their daughter. I'm a very religious and spiritual person. I don't like to stay out too late unless something runs late, but not as a habit. Right now, I stopped working, because i had a part-time job, and since Im graduating college, I am ready to start on my career. However, I never ask my parents for money, unless it's for books for school or for gas, because I don't want to get stopped in the middle of the road.

Sick great grandmother

My great grandmother has been having a lot of health problems lately and she's just lifeless?
MY great grandma has broken her hip 2-3 times. She fractured her neck and its well now, she has a sore on her foot that won't go away, the doctor said just leave a sock on it and let it get will but it isn't. She can't walk because her foot. She doesn't talk to anyone and she barely eats. I think she feels lonely or depressed about her health problems? Idk, we try to talk to her and she doesn't talk, sometimes we try to get her to eat and she doesn;t eat. She just lays down, not saying anything & sleeping or slouched staring into space.
