Applying for my 1st job

Posted Wednesday March 21 2007, 5:33 pm

Has anyone ever worked at Limited Too? I just picked up an application to work there today. It was the only place I was interested in working at that hired at 16. Anyway, at the top it asks position desired and salary expected / hour/day/etc. What should I say for that? Over the summer I can work full time but not until then. I want to work in the store. How much should I say for salary? I've never had a "real" job before except for soccer reffing and I made $17-19 per game (1 hour). should I put that down on the previous employment section? Thanks for any help! <3

I HATE MY JOB

Posted Wednesday March 14 2007, 12:17 am

i hate my job with a passion. Like i seriously get depressed thinking about going to work. I get yelled at all the time, i work ith none of my friends, everyone i work with is so annoyingly bossy and takes there job TOOOO seriously. I like the job because its the only one that will revolve around my schedule plus i make about 35 bucks a night on tips and 6 bucks an hour ontop of that so im making about 60 bucks a night for 5 hours work. I recently dropped out of a college course which was working with children, I was over half way though the course. Ive been looking for a job for a while and 2 job offer have come up. One is working in a store for less hours and more money but the other one is moving out of my parents home and moving in with a friend of my mums and being like a house wife and taking her daughter to school as she is on the road alot because of her job this is less money but i wouldnt have to pay rent or for the food but its more hours. The moving out job sounds more like the one i would enjoy. But im only 17 and have never spent more than a week away from my family. If i go with this job do u have any tips that would help me not to be so home sick? And which job sounds like a the better one?

I'm having a hard time deciding what I would be good at. I don't have many skills or anything that I'm interested in. I've considered majoring in hotel management to become a hotel manager [because I've lived around them forever], but I hear that that is a really stressful job.

If you major in one thing, but end up hating the job that relates to it, what do you do? How do you find a job you love after you graduate from college if it doesn't relate to your major?

money matters...

Posted Tuesday February 27 2007, 8:17 pm

okay...well the thing is that I'm real tight on money..I seriously only have a five dollar bill to my name..that's it, and my parents can't help that fact because they're on social security. I went to basically everybusiness in town and twenty miles out, but no one is hiring or they don't allow a job without experience. And no one needs house cleaners or babysitters..
In May, I will be attending Camp Wonderland to volunteer as a counselor all summer long..and I really need some money to get up there and some spending money.
Is there a job that I can do online for someone? Or something of that type? Like writing articles? I'm just so desperate.
