Hey my dad is very mean he says I have my head in my ass a lot and puts me down . I make pretty good grades but he always says I'm a dumbass and tells me I will be digging ditches the rest off my life what should I say or do ?

5 year old doesn't know numbers or letters

I'm 28 and a SAHM. I currently watch my nephew three days a week. He's a really good kid and everything. I've been watching him since mid November and I've noticed he doesn't know his ABCs and he can't count to 10. I'm the oldest of six children, so I've had my fair share of helping my brothers and sisters with homework. I've asked his Mom to send flashcards with him and I've sat down and went through them and he can't tell me what letter he sees. For example, I'll show him a card with a "A" and a picture of an apple. He can tell me it's an apple but he can't tell me the letter. He'll say it's a "J" or a "P" or whatever he comes up with. I've held up all 10 fingers and tried counting with him and he doesn't kno...

Hi, I'm a 15 year old girl and my parents just don't understand me.My mom and dad had a divorce and I just hate it. They don't realize what this has done to me and how much its effecting me. My dad is ALWAYS lecturing me about how I'm going to screw up my life when I'm 18 and that he's not gonna help me when I'm older. Every chance he gets he tells me to get better grades and I'm the laziest person ever and I don't do anything. He doesn't Ever appreciate what I do for him and he doesn't realize that I want to do things regular teenagers do. I watch my 4 year old little brother all the fricken time and I never get to do anything a regular teenager does. I never go out or nothing just sit at home watching my brothers. First off i'm 23f and i'm engaged to my long time bf (25) we have lived together for two years and the other day we got a big surprise. we are now expecting. My bf and i are happy but i'm really worried about what my family will say. his family is really laid back and i'm psitive they will have no problem with it. i know this cause his mom bugs us about grand kids. lol
but my parents are a little...ummm well the opposite. i'm afraid that i'll get a lecture not the congratz. My bf and i don't make much money but we get by. My bf and i have already looked over fiannces and things and we will be fine but i don't think my paents will see it that way. i'm just really stressed about the whole situation (my bf keeps bugging me to calm down)...

it was my baby sisters birthday and so i wanted to look older and more like my mom so i wore a little mascara to school but then my mom saw it when she picked me up and got really mad, and said that we would 'talk' about it adter the party and im really scared. i want to tell her why i did it but i feel like she is going to think its really stupid...so to get to the point...i dont know what to say, how to act, or what is going to happen. what do i do?

im 17 and my bf is 19 we have been together since i was 15 and we really want a baby right now, but i cant seem to get pregnant. idk what i should do, i know we can do it, we are both cery responsible and he has a full time job and im finishing school. but i cant get pregnant, idk if maybe my body is just doing the right thing and not letting me get pregnent but i really want a baby. more than anything in the world i want a lil baby girl (or boy) idc what i get.

I'm a junior in a parenting class. And we have this activity to do. I need a story or a skit i can act out with puppets on sharing. It's for pre-schoolers so it shouldn't be a hard reading level. It can be basically anything along the lines of sharing, or friendships, manners, anything that can be followed with a song such as:
If you're friendly and you know it,
clap your hands.
If you're friendly and you know it,
clap your hands.
If you're friendly and you know it,
and you really want to show it,
If you're friendly and you know it,
clap your hands!
Substitute other "friendly" actions such as "wave hello" or "shake a hand" etc.

okay well me and my boyfriend live seperatly and we are currently expected our first child. He stays with his dad and I stay with my mom. Due to my job and my schooling I want to continue to stay here after the baby is born until we are able to afford something together. his house is to far of a drive for me to live there and he is not allowed to stay here because of my mothers beliefs. When the baby is born he of course wants to be there to help take care of it but I was wanting to bring it home with me. his dad has dogs and such and I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing a newborn baby in there until they cleaned it really well. He wants to be able to stay with me when the baby is just born to help me and I understand but i won't stay ther...

So i have a boyfriend and im 12. I went to my friends house for a sleepover and he slept over , i went home and i lied to my mom and told her that he didnt and then she didnt belive me so i told her the truth and now shes pissed and wont even look me in the eyes, she doesnt belive a word i say and we didnt do a thing. What do I do ?

A little over 2 years ago, my husband and I separated. I took our daughter and lived with her for a year. And trying to be a good parent *she wanted to see her father for the summer* I didn't wish to deny her this. She was at the time only 5 years old. I allowed her to visit with him for the summer, and when the time came for her to come back, he said he wasn't going to bring her back, that I'm never going to see her again and refused to let me speak with her. I believe he is trying to get back at me for leaving him. I have tried to go through a lawyer, but I did not have the funds to pay for it, and with todays economy, it is very difficult to find a job to pay for a lawyer. 12 weeks and 4 days and I am already getting fat from being pregnant?

okay so this is my first pregnancy. I'm not a skinny girl, but Im not fat either. I'm kinda in between so when I got pregnant i knew id gain some weight. But i didn't expect this to happen! I'll step on the scale and I weigh the same with maybe a few pounds difference here and there. but my belly is like huge. its not baby belly either its just jiggly ick!!! Is this normal? I can't fit into any of my clothes or my fat clothes I had on the side. My ass is huge and my boobs look like dolly parton. I hadnt to expected to look like a blimp so soon!

Is childbirth as horrible as I heard? Should I use adoption so I don't have to give birth?

Hey everybody. FIRST OFF- I am not talking about now, I am talking about when I'm older!!
Various resources have scared me away from childbirth, and I was wondering- is it as difficult to adopt as I've heard? I plan on adopting a young child if I ever decide to adopt. I know that adopting an infant is a huge production, but what about a small child?
Also, which is more expensive (adoption or childbirth in a hospital)? Can anybody tell me approximately how much either would cost?
Also, are childbirth and pregnancy as horrible as I've come to learn they are?

Hello, I am 32 yrs. old mom and have a kid of 4yr old. Soon after I delivered I started taking 'Meliane' contraceptive pills, meaning that I have been taking these pills for around 4 years. Now, I want to conceive again, I consulted my gynecologist and he said everything was ok with me and I could go ahead. He put me on Folic Acid. I have stopped taking the pills since 3 months, but nothing has happened up till now. My cycle has become longer since I stopped the pills, it has become around 40 days, and I am quite unsure as to when I am actually ovulating. So I started to use ‘Ovatel’ ovulation Test soon after my last period which started on last 14th July 2011. Surprisingly, 25 days after my periods I don’t seem to be ovulating (...

Hi, im Gracie and Im 13 and my question is...
Do you hit your kids to punish them? My dad never hits me; he grabs me and shakes me sometimes lol or he yells but he never hit me. But the other day I went to a friends house and her mom slapped her for rolling her eyes. I thought that was kinda harsh and unfair. So I was just wondering if lots of parents hit their kids and why? Isnt that like abuse? What if it makes your kids hate you?

Postpartum or Pregnant? Am I pregnant AGAIN?

Okay so my boyfriend and I just had a baby 8 weeks ago. We started having sex the 3 week after. I bled the fourth week for 4 days then it stopped. We had sex without a condom idk how many times but he never came inside me. I know about precum but i want to know what are the chances that i am pregnant again? We're buying a test and taking it tomorrow but its killing me to not know at the moment. Someone please give me some idea of whether i should be worried or not :( i feel nauseous, dizzy, depressed, etc. And idk if its from pregnancy or postpartum or just stress from the entire situation. HELP!

My baby..well hes my nephew ( I proabably spelled that wronge) Is 18 months he should be talking full sentences right? He says a couple words: Cat, Ma ma, Da da, Ball, Rawr, Tickle, Boom, and Hello. There not so clear, but you know what hes saying. I try to teach him words and he just won't listen. So when do you think he should start speaking? He also ALL THE TIME SAYS ckkkdnfyw edbwh Like hes speaking spanish or smonething. Idk. HELP!

My son is three years old, and he is very interested in going to the "potty" he has been ready for this every since he was 18 months old, but he is our first child and neither me or my husband has even changed a diaper before him let alone potty train. We have asked many other parents what to do or if they had any tips, and most of them say "oh, just go with the flow." or "He will go on his own when he is ready." and "I dont know you just do it." Amazing even my mother cant explain to me how to potty train a child and she has done it 6 times. My husband and I are completely clueless. Is 20 too young to move in with someone? I am about to get my bachelor's in a few months, I have a job with which I can support myself,and with a year or two more of experience there it will easily become a career. I live on my own, and I've been best friends with the guy for a year and a half. He is 25, is financially stable, has money saved up for a future family, he is responsible, lives on his own as well.
We haven't really talked about it much, but is it weird for me to want to settle down so young? There's no job I want more than to be a mother and wife.
