hair straighteners

what is the best kind of straightener?
ive had 2 different brands and both of them have at some point stopped heating up (the light goes on, so i know the power is on)
the first kind i had was a ceramic tools and the second was a vidal sassoon.
any ideas why they keep dying on me? and suggestions for a good ceramic straightener?

I have a big halloween party this saturday. Thing is .. everyone is dressing up slutty and fun and cute, but every costume i think of that hasnt been taken already, is just lame (think lindsay lohan's in mean girls) and i really need ideas for a halloween costume .. or something i can make up for one. IM DESPERATE!!! Anything you can think of, i will love u for life. (i rate high)

I want to get my hair cut. And I was thinking about "side swept bangs" and layers, but sorta those "spikey" layers (sorta like some "punks" have), does anyone have any idea what those layers are called?

ok i am going to make this short on friday i am goin to go see my boyfriend and meet his mom. since it will be cold i am plannin to wear a brown outfit that has a jacket with it. my onlu question is this. i got black and pink shoes? what should i do? i dont got any others because i through them out over the summer and havent had enough money to get new ones. what should i do? well it look bad?

I'm gonna be getting some money soon, and I was wanting to get my nose pierced. If any of you have it done, can you let me know how bad it hurt, and how much it was for yours to get done? Well my friends and I are trying to decide on costumes. I have NO idea what I want to be. I mean something cute but not very sluttly... maybe just a tad lol. I mean I'm almost 15 and i want to be cute/hott! Do yall have any ideas of what I could be? Please help. Good answers get 5's! xoxo.
p.s. some that work in cold weather or some that work in just good temps. I dont want to wear a bathing suit when if it is like 50ish degrees! Even though I don't think it will be that cold though.
