is it normal to get your period one day and not the next

I am 14 and i think i started my period becuz my underwear got stained of blood so i think i did buttt is it normal 2 get your period like today and not the next day

Skin On My Genitals

For as long as I can remember, the skin on my genitals has been really dark. It is a darker complexion than that of my tan, and those body parts are not exposed to sunlight - nor do I use a tanning bed. I was just wondering why they are darker than the rest of my skin, it doesn't make sense to me.

first period ever?

Okay so i am 14 ill be 15 in a about 2 months, my mom started her period when she was 12 or 11, and so did her mom, my other grandma started when she was 15 or something. But I have had discharge since i was in 6th grade, i am going into 9th grade now. it was always white or a little yellowish, but the other day i looked and it was brownish. does this mean i am about to start? advice?? :) and i have about 34A breasts and pubic and underarm hair. HELP!?! and don't say "don't stress about it, it'll come when it ready" or something. i would like advice about whats happening. today and a few days before i could feel when i had discharge. like before i didn't ever feel it come out but now i am. i used to be very worried and paranoid ab...

Palm beach tanning questions

I'm interested in getting a Palm Beach Tanning membership but I am just so confused on the membership options. On their website, it says there's different levels- Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. But it doesn't say exactly what those levels are.. What does each level offer me? Also, how long are these memberships? Is it a monthly membership (I pay once a month?) can I purchase a weekly membership or a yearly membership?
Anything else I should know about the memberships?

Waking up in the night

For the past few months I have been waking up every single night between 2-5am at least once, usually twice.
I find it difficult to go back to sleep again and as a result I constantly feel tired and when I wake up in the morning I never feel well rested.
What can I do?

Enbrel for Psoriasis?

I am a 20 year old female. I was diagnosed with plaque psoriasis when I was seven. Most of the psoriaisis has been dormant for about 10 years. I got sick with Strep Throat in May, and it caused a flare up of the psoriasis. However, I was stupid and waited a month to go to a dermatologist. She wants to put me on Enbrel to help it. After reading the side affects, I'm really nervous about using it. But she said that young adults have had lots of success with it. Am I just being paranoid? Or do I have a reason to be worried? Have you used Enbrel for your Psoriasis? If so, please let me know how it has helped you.

So I was sitting down (cross legged position) for about an hour or 2.. straight. Which was pretty dumb of me because i didn't realize it was bad for you because apparently it cuts off your blood circulation. Well the next morning, I woke up and tried to walk around but my legs were KILLING me!!! It hurts so badly I can't even extend my knees straight. It hurts right behind the knee, and then a little further down by my calves.
I did a little research and maybe its varicose veins?? I can see my veins (which usually I don't) but they aren't like black or super dark. I have tried many things. I elevated my feet for about 20 minutes. I heated it up by taking a hot shower. I massaged my legs. I stretched. it just seems to be gett...

Trouble breathing

I get pressure on my chest, almost like something in pressing down on it, which makes it really hard to breathe. This started about a year ago, and it's been happening more and more often. It's gotten bad enough that I woke up last night and couldn't get back to sleep for a couple of hours. Also, every now and then I get a really sharp pain in my ribs, almost like someone thrust a knife in them. I am 18 and have never had any heart problems and none on either side of my family that I know of. Granted, I don't know my birth mom, so that doesn't help much. I know I should go get checked out, but I was wondering if anyone has any idea on what is going on? Please and thank you!

Everyone I know has bigger breasts than me... even younger girls! Am I normal?

i am 13 and everyone i know (including girls younger than me) have bigger breasts than me. is there anyway to help stimulate their growth? big boobs run in my family ( my sister has DD's!) but apparently not me. am i normal?

OK this may be a dumb question, but just need some answers. I normally sweat a lot more than most girls, I am 21 years old and a college volleyball player. I am not in perfect shape, but I do work out a lot and would like to think im overall pretty healthy. However I feel like lately I have been sweating a lot more, like all over my body, even from my arms and legs. It has been very humid lately..so could that just be it?
Is there anyway to stop sweating from my face and head/neck as much? it gets really bad even if im just sitting outside when its hot

1st gyno visit and my mom doesn't know I am having sex

I am going for my gyno visit this week. I'm a bit nervous about some things. I am 19 years old and am sexually active. My mother does not know this.... and would kill me if she knew. The only reason I am going is because I have a persistent yeast infection. Anyway they said I need to come in a half hour early to fill out paper work. Are they going to ask me about my sexual history in the paper work, because my mom will be with me and I can't write that down with her next to me....What should I do? And when they call me into the room will they make my mom leave if she follows me there? I want to be honest with the doctor I just can't let my mom know....

ok so i was at camp and on the last day was my period.i borrowed pads from a friend but i cant seem to tell my mom. she's super wierd about it. i dont want 4 her to be all exited and telling all her friends.plz give me a good idea of how u2 tell her without freaking out cuz im "becoming a woman". p.s. i"m 11

having teeth pulled: what is a dry socket?

Im having four teeth pulled tommorow and im really nervous. I have some questions and i was really hoping that someone could help me. What do they do to you before they pull them? Does it hurt? How long does it bleed? What is a dry socket? How long does it take to close the gaps? Any info would help. Thanks :-)

I woke up this morning and noticed a huge swelled bite below my chest. It is swelled and red with black in the middle of it. It doesn't seem like a normal bug bite. Could it be a spider bite? And how do I treat it? Every time I try to rupture it or something it swells even more. Are there certain types of cream or ointment I can put on it?

So my boobs are 32B, which is alright I guess.. but I really want them to be a little bigger. At least a 34B or 34C.
I am all into organic and natural things. Meaning, this isn't a question about plastic surgery or anything like that. I know i'm probably not going to get an answer that will help drastically.. i'm just looking for a little boost.
I'm very athletic and healthy. There's that myth that says women athletes have smaller boobs but I dont know if thats true or not. I have strong biceps. I heard that having strong pectoral muscles can make your boobs bigger.. is that true? is there any kinds of organic or homeopathic medicine or treatments to help?

Not wanting the attention I tend to crave.

There is something in my mind that always wants me to want attention.
I used to cut myself, and in a way that was my way of craving attention from friends etc. I have stopped that now, but I'll say something that causes attention to myself and put something in a sentence that will obviously cause attention to myself.
How can I stop craving this type of attention? Basically I can say I don't think before I speak.
Can someone just help me because this time I can't answer a question on my own. :/

Having trouble getting to sleep

I have the worst time trying to fall asleep.
It's been worse over the summer but even before I just couldn't fall asleep and it'd take me an hour or 2.
I think it started my sophomore year where I couldn't fall asleep. I'm going into my senior year and it's still bothering me. I mean it wasn't every night because I did have some good nights where it'd only take me 20 or 30 min to fall asleep.
I was thinking maybe I was making it into a habit. So I just tried going to bed at 10 or 11 but wouldn't fall asleep till like 12 or 1. I had to wake up at 5:30 for school but my body was used to the hours I slept so it didn't affect my grades or anything.
So I've tried different sleeping times and tried to get ...
