I need to lose weight by next April for my senior prom!

my name is Rachel and iam 18 and i want to lose weight 40 pounds by next April for my senior prom next school year becouse i want to find the right dress and to do that i need to lose alot of weight and i need to know how to do that a fast and safe way becouse i want to be 103 pounds by next year.
Iam 5'1 and i weigh 142 pounds and i want to be a size 4 when iam a size 10 now.
what i want to know is How many calories should i eat daily?what kinds of foods should i eat?
what kinds of exersizes should i do that would help me lose weight fast.

Fussy Eater

I am told and must admit I'm a fussy eater. I am male and 16.
The thing is I eat quite routinely. My breakfast always consists of Wheetabix, lunch always consists of Tomato Sauce sandwiches! Amongst other things, eg yesterday I also had a doughnut, banana and sausage roll along side that.

The thing is if I was offered Spaghetti, curry, Pasta or something I'd reject it. I think truthfully I've never tried them, I just feel like I wont like them.

I also have a problem with fruit and drink. I feel I don't like strawberrys, oranges, grapes etc but I love the drinks!

Whats the case here?! Should I try and eat the stuff I hate or something?

anorexia and bloating.

Hi, I recently asked the question about anorexia and menstruation and bloating and the main response that I got back was not that I was bloated from lack of menstruation but the anorexia itself. So why am I bloated from anorexia? Okay...what makes anorexic people bloated? And what can I do to make it go away, besides eating? Help?

eating better to lose weight

I'm looking to lose maybe 10 pounds. I know it's better to eat more small meals during the day than a few big ones, so I'm doing my best to accomadate that plan. But I'm not very good with figuring out how to distribute the meals to be a good size so I have enough energy but I'm not over eating, and how to balance out the nutrients.

For breakfast, I love eggs with cheese and like toast or something... I'm not sure if that's a great idea but it's always my favorite. If it's not good, what else is a better initiative?

For lunch it doesn't matter much but my cafeteria's selection isn't very healthy so I pack my lunch - anything that won't spoil in my locker is fine, so suggestions here would be great :)

Getting Rid of Hunger Pains

Are there ne ways to get rid of hunger pains? Like besides eating, that's obvious. I heard chewing gum makes your body think u r eating so u aren't hunger. Is that true? Let me know. Thanks.

PMS Cravings- help

I'm a teenager and my periods have been regular for quite some time. My problem is with cravings. I'm on a strict diet- and I can't deal with always being bombarded with random cravings for unhealthy food. It's unbelievable how intense they are- like I feel as though I should kill myself if I can't get the food I'm craving.

How do I stop these?
they always ruin my dieting efforts.

what is polyunsaturated fat and monounsaturated fat? and what are calories from fat? like if something had 78 calories and calories of fat was 48 or something, what would that mean and what does it do for your health?

Oily Skin

I have very oily skin. It's so bad that I go to the bathroom everyday in school and while I used the restroom I use the toilet paper to *try* to get some of the oil off of my face by dabbing at my oily places. It's embarassing to have oily skin.
So I was wondering if anyone has any tips, home treatments, or product recomendations for me?

Im 14/f and Im really interested in becomimg a vegetarian/vegan. I was wondering do you have ot take any extra vitamins or anything? I already take One Source for Women but would I need any thing else to get all the nutrition I need? thanks in advance!!

I don't think this is the right category--maybe under health? Anywhos, I had a question about being a vegetarian. I'm 14/f and I am trying to be a vegetarian. It's not for weight loss or anything, I just want to be a vegetarian because I think it's much healthier than eating meat everyday.

Anywhos, I know that since being a vegetarian means no meat, I know that missing out on meat means missing out on proteins and such. So I was wondering what kinds of food I would be needing to eat in order to make up for the missing meat. And also if anyone knew a site that had good vegetarian receipes that a 14 year old can cook easily other than allrecipes.com.

what can i eat?

i'm lactose intolerant, so i can't eat anything with dairy. no cheese, no yogurt, no milk.

most of my favorite foods have cheese in them, and i can't eat them anymore. i can't eat mac & cheese, no more pizza, no more cheesecake, or cheese crackers (goldfish/cheesenips), or things like that. i can't even eat ice cream.

i can eat them, but i end up getting sick, and i hate it. what are things i can eat (that appeal to a teenager's taste) & that won't get me sick?

How many calories?

Ok, I'm 5'8, weigh about 138 pounds and am 16 yrs old. I exercise 5-6 days a week and burn about 400+ calories each time I work out.

I'm trying to lose weight, and right about now I'm eating around 800-1,400 (at the absolute most) calories per day. Is that too much? Should I cut out more or add more? I have no idea!

drink substitute

15/f. ok so i'm trying to stay healthy and i drink diet soda everyday so i want to stop doing that. i need something to drink besides that that is healthy. besides water (which i drink a lot of anyway) what other drinks can i drink? links will help too!

oh and is minute maid light lemonade good for me?

frustrated

15/f. i'm not even going to post my weight because i know its in the healthy BMI range and then you guys will just tell me that i don't need to lose weight. and i know i don't need to lose weight, that isn't my question. my quesiton is that even know i'm at a healthy weight range and i know that i'm pretty slim, i still have a little fat near my stomach especially around and below my belly button. and i'm so frustrated because i've been doing over 100 crunches a day, and i run on my treadmill a lot and its still there! for the most part i try to eat healthy, but i know i don't always eat healthy.

also how bad is diet soda for you? because i drink one almost everyday and i want to know how bad it is for me and if i should stop.
