Sharing essay websites

Posted Saturday September 26 2009, 1:20 pm

I am a 14-year-old female who really love writing. I write whatever I think(Mostly things that are deep) but I don't want to show them to my family(It's just a different side of me). I wanna share it with others and I'm wondering if there's any websites for people to write and share essays with others(like a hobby). I googled "essay share" and all the websites they have are for people to do homework(so it needs $). I don't need any help in writing essay but I wanna share and read essays to improve my skill.
PLEASE, ANY websites that might fit me is fine.

Swimming in P.E.

Posted Tuesday September 22 2009, 10:44 pm

My P.E. class is swimming for the next 5 weeks or so, and I'm not doing so hot. The past couple of times I'm fine on the first few laps, but on the last few, I honestly can barely make it across the pool. Today, actually, on the last lap, I just didn't have the strength to keep going and I had to start doggy-paddling, etc. to make sure I got to the other end. I thought I was going to drown.

So my question... does anyone have any tips for me? I would love to just not dress out and all that jazz, but my mom doesn't really want me to get an F, and neither do I. (and my teacher is kinda weird - it's a male teacher, too) Is there any way I can make it easier? Or does anyone know a good excuse to get out of it? (I'm a girl, and yes...

Picture Retakes

Posted Tuesday September 22 2009, 5:31 pm

Last year I took my senior picture and it came out really bad, i looked really fat and wore all black which also looked really bad. I'm kind of fat anyway so I know i'll look fat no matter what in the picture but are there any ways to lessen it a little? are there ways to kind of avoid the double chin? what should I wear?

Bully

Posted Friday September 18 2009, 8:43 pm

There is this girl at school and she hates me. I have no idea why because she hated me since middle school. I'm 15. She keeps asking me why I am staring at her and when i try to answer, she says to shut up and says not to talk to her. Everyone else in her posse laughs. I even lost a friend to her. The rumor that she (the bully) spread to get my friend on her side was saying that I love her boyfriend and he hates me when, in fact, it's the opposite. One more thing, I am trying to ignore her. A couple of days ago, I was just coming out of the cafeteria when she said, "What the f*** are YOU looking at?" I didn't even look her way. Dad said to ignore and if it continues to go to the vice principal but that rarely works. Any advice would be helpful...THANKS!!!

Vietnam Drugs and Insanity

Posted Friday September 18 2009, 7:41 pm

So I REALLY REALLY would be grateful for some help on this before I go insane myself.

I am doing a research paper about the Vietnam era and my topic is how war drives people insane. It shouldn't be too hard to find sources to prove that, since people in the 60's were pretty insane and im sure it had something to do with the war and something to do with all those new drugs coming out. Well my teacher says i need to find pictures and songs, not books as sources. I have one picture, but i need other types of media other than books that prove people were crazy because of the war...and the hard part is they HAVE to be printed in the 60's to early 70's. They can be songs, pictures, movies, etc. just no books. and it seems easy enough, but i cant find ANYTHING!!!!

prom party

Posted Tuesday September 15 2009, 9:58 am

My prom is in june next year (I know it's far away but EVERYONE in my year is talking about it already) and as I can't take my boyfriend because he goes to a different school, and some of my friends don't even want to go, I was wondering what else we could do instead of going to prom?
I was thinking about a party at a hall near my house, but it might cost too much. But I still like the idea of having a 'end of year party' I guess XD but is there anything else anyone could think of that might be more fun and not expensive?

first off, i go to one of the top 50 schools in the country, so basically its EXTREMLY hard and you have to be a major nerd and study 24/7 to be even in the top 50%. this is a public school, mind you.
i hate it. ive always hated it. im a sophmore and this is my second year here and i think im gonna scream if i have to stay at this school any longer. i have alot of learning problems and my school doesnt accomidate them whatsoever, they only accomidate smart people.
so ive been talking to me mom about switching to a private school. BUT THERE SO EXPENSIVE!
and my friend who is in the same position as me is wanting to do the same thing as me, shes already been accepted to a school.

Unhappy at school.

Posted Sunday September 13 2009, 9:36 pm

16 - Female

Basically, the issue is that I am extremely depressed and unhappy every day because of the school I go to. My parents thought it would be a good idea to pull me away from public school and send me to a Catholic, college prep, all girls high school. It is my third year and I am still unhappy. I miss my friends, and I want to look back at my high school years and not have to say that they were the worst years of my life. I'm not a loser at school. Really. And I do have friends. But the problem is, is that I don't fit in anywhere. All of the girls have been friends since they were very young and are in separate groups according to what middle school they attended. I have tried to have a positive attitude but at the e...

Biology: Frog-toe clipping alternative

Posted Friday September 11 2009, 5:36 pm

My advanced biology teacher wants to do a project with us where we will go out into the slough behind our high school and take a population count of the frogs there. He said the best way to mark the little guys is to clip one of their back toes off... I personally dont have a big problem with this as it appears to be the standard way to mark frogs for a population count, but a lot of the girls in the class didnt want to because it was inhumane to the frogs. the class came to a conclusion that we probably shouldnt be cutting the toes off of the frogs just for a class project.

Now the problem is that we have no idea how else we would mark the frogs... we thought of dental floss tied around one leg, or some kind of paint or mark...

Competition, Jealousy, Stress--> Ending?

Posted Thursday September 10 2009, 8:10 pm

I'm a senior in high school and over the years I've had to suffer, and still more than ever, really, really bad jealousy. And I don't mean I'm jealous over people in my grade being prettier than me or getting guys, but I mean being jealous of people being smarter and better at stuff than i am. I am pretty smart, i work really hard, and do well in school and everything else I do, but there are always handfuls of people who are way better than me. I mean, I know it's almost impossible to be the best at everything but I can't help but be really, really jealous. I'm really good at music but there are so many people who I'm jealous of because they're better than me. I'm also so jealous of the kids in my class who are smart enough to apply to mit...

What do I want to do with my life? ...finding a good job occupation...

Posted Wednesday September 9 2009, 2:55 pm

I have a problem...with my future!?

I am a senior in high school this year and need to start thinking about what I want to do in life. The problem is that I have no interest in anything really. The only thing I really care about is...well...I love HOT boys. I love to go out. I love to shop. I love fashion. I like art but I'm not very creative myself and I SUCK at drawing and stuff like that!

I want to go to a good University and have a good pay check when I start working, but I simply don't picture myself sitting in a office and having working hours every single day. I am not skinny or unique enough to be a model. Like I said, I suck at being creative and stuff. I just can't figure my life out. I don't want ...
