volleyball- diving and blocking Posted Sunday December 17 2006, 12:43 am
The 2 troubles I'm having with in volleyball are Diving and Blocking... so I need advice on that
Diving- is there any way to prevent floor burns and make it easier for my arm to slide on the floor? How do you rollover on your shoulder blade when you've made the pass?
Blocking- I am scared of getting hit in the face, any advice on how to solve this? I also close my eyes when I jump, how do I keep my eyes open?

well im a freshman wrestler for 119 and 125. i think i might have a skin disease from the mat, its sorta like a matburn and its like rele close to my lip. its scabbed up and my dad thinks its emphintigo. idk what it is, so i just say its a matburn. can anyoen help?

what should i eat before tennis? i have lunch like 2 hours before conditioning starts and i noticed that i get really tired out, quickly at practice. so is there any type of food that i can eat that will give me more energy. and its not like im overweight. im actually really underweight. so calories dont matter to me. is there any specific brand of nutrition bar or drink that i can buy that would give me more energy?

Ive seen alot of like basketball players who have this like.. thingie on their foot. its like a brace but like.. i have no idea what its called, but theres a little hole where their knee is and its like from lower thigh to upper calf. whats the name and what are they for? also do they cost alot of money.. and what sports do you wear them for? thanks!

i just started running this year, and it's become something that i really enjoy. i ran cross country and i didn't do so well because, i`m built to be a sprinter. but anyways, during the cross country season, i had some problems with shin splints. they only came every once and a while, and they weren't a major issue, so i just worked through it.. now i`m doing indoor track. we practice on our outdoor track because we don't have an indoor track. our outdoor track is illegal. we can't even hold meets at our school because of it. its uneven and one of my friends broke her foot on it. we've been having sprinting practice out there, and my shin splints have gotten worse because of it. i have them the second i stop running, and they don't go away ...

Is lacrosse hard? I'm thinking of joining my school team in the spring. I already do soccer, basketball, and some dance, so I have to run alot and stuff. Would it be easy to like learn lacrosse? I did very little when I was in school (im in jr high) but like.. I know how to cradle the ball and stuff.. a little. what can i do to train for the spring season? would it be really hard.. or do you think i could have a fair chance at it? like.. personal experiences.

right this is taking the piss i run for england under 15's i set the record already not bad yeh i hav 2 5 hour training sessions a week and i get treated like a fuking dog i also do long jump and triple jump for england aswel and i have 2 training sessions for them and i get treated like a fukin dog in them its taking the piss today was interform rugy everyone was telling me what to do i scored 78 fuking tries and they stil were telling me what to do eventually i flipped and told everyone to fuck off right im realy considering quitting all of my sports because i dont want to be treated like shit any one help me shut every one up?

how do you play girls' lacrosse? I'm a 13 year old in 7th grade and I want to try out for my school's lacrosse team in the spring. My sis played lacrosse and already has a stick so I could borrow it (if she feels generous! lmao.. but is there other equipment too? i think theres a mouthguard but idk) and stuff. I already do a lot of running with soccer and basketball that I already do, and I've played lacrosse before in school and it wasn't THAT hard. but like do you think i could have a chance on the team? and what are some things from your personal experience (i tried searching for it.. but idk what to search for or anything.. i'd rather hear it from someone whos personally done it) like is it fun, or what do you have to do? and how do you...

well i do indoor track and i've always been fast. but it seems like girls always seem to get infront of me. i was wondering if anyone had good ideas and advice on what shoes i should wear, like flats? i heard they really help. and like what brand and where i could find them.
also, if anyone has any tips of how i should run and use my arms. any input would be great!

Alright. So cheerleading tryouts are in a few days and I'm interested. There is a clinic tomorrow where I can learn the stuff to try out with. I haven't done cheerleading for 6 years. My question is; what can I do about nerves on the day of tryouts and how do I boost my confidence to feel like I'll make it? I really would like to make it. Thanks!
