Okay, I've heard from several sources that you're supposed to have the equivalent to your body weight in grams of protein.
Is this right?
But then, should someone who's 300 pounds eat 300 grams of protein? That seems a little ridiculous.
Is it possible to overdo it?
I thought I understood this whole thing, but apparently not. How do you measure how much protein you need?

15/f, 5'7 (my height may be needed it's a weight question)
i've been eating healthy for a really long time (i used to weigh around 135, and since about march i haven't gone above 130. i'm usually around 124.) for the past week there have been many graduation parties, so i've still been watching what i eat, but i've been having the sweets i want. the thing is, if anything, i've been losing weight. this morning i weighed myself and i weighed 121.5.
my question is, why am i losing weight and not gaining weight? i don't think my muscle is turning into fat, because i'm still as thin as i was, and i don't have any more fat than i did before. i still have toned abs and such. is my metabolism speeding up because i'm ...

i'm trying to lose some wieght and i already excersise and stuff but i think that eating healthier would help too. I never know what to make so i just end up snacking on chips. are there any fairly simple recipies for healthy meals/snacks??

14/f ok im 5'7 and like somewhere between 155-160. yeah i need to lose weight. i have love handles like bad and i need to get rid of them. but i have issues with the whole diets thing. i have noooo dedication its terriable. but its not like im not a phiscally fit person like i play ice hockey , field hocky, softball. i just started kickboxing. likle im not out of shape im just kindof fat. like ahh. tips and help please =]

ok i am not sure this is the rite category.... but i wanted to know what happened to nicole richie that made her loose that much weight? ppl say its gastric bipas and others say liposuction and people said that they deprived her from food AS WELL AS drugs in rehab..... what really happened?!

My dermatologist just put me on a full treatment for acne and suggested i use just a simple soap to clean my face because everything else is taken care of with my treatment. She told me to use Dove soap...but im used to using cleansers so i'd prefer to stick that way. Does anyone have any suggestions of cleansers that have absolutely NO medication in them and smell good??

Hm, I know that I'm not bulimic. But do I have EDNOS? I was reading info. off of google today and there wasn't too much of a help. I hate my body and I'm so self consious it makes me miserable. I will eat dinner or a normal amount of food, not binge, and I'll purge. I feel so much better after I do it. I'll go through periods where I won't do it for weeks, and sometimes I do it multiple times a week. What is wrong with me? (I started doin this over a yr ago)

ok i had diarhea last tuesday, a week from today, and my sister told me to take this medicine so i did and it went away but now i cant poop at all since then. i took stool softeners and laxitives and i could only poop a verry little. i dont know what to do i need some help.

Okay, When im not on my period my face is super clear no breakouts, nothing.
But when im on my period, I have these breakouts on my forehead and there is really no way of getting them to go away.
They go away after my period is over but I would like to go in public and not have breakouts all over my face while on my period.
So, is there any way to treat breakouts when im not on my period so when i am on it, i dont have any?
Btw, I use neutrogena. Is there a good face wash that I could use?

i'm not sure if this is in the right category, sorry.
my nails like flake. like when they get longer, they start to look all flaky and i can even pull layers off. just the white part though. my mom said it's a lack of a certain vitamin. could that be why? what vitamin is it that i'm lacking? and if it's not that, why is this happening?

So I've lost about 32 pounds of my weight, and now I'm 155(i'm 5'2 and a quarter"), my goal is 137 (18 pounds left), and I'm doing really well this is what I do:
I normally consume around 1200-1350(or 1500) cals per day, but sometimes i take it up to about 1800 if i'm pmsing or something. I also work out whenever I can, i run a mile(and walk until it adds up to 20 mins) and i do the stairclimber for 20 mins and sometimes i'll add 20 mins of elliptical in, and then i just do random conditioning on the machines (about 20 reps of each)... and i do that on the days i don't have dance classes (and my dance classes don't start again until 3 more weeks so i'll probably be doing this every d...

this might not be the best place for this question and im sorry. but im 5'5" and i hate it! my dad is really tall and my mom is 5'8". how do i keep myself from growing. people say vegies help you grow so do i not eat vegies (bc i do eat alot of vegetables) so could someone help me.
