so, this is gonna sound really stupid, but i've been wondering ..do you pay tuition before the college year starts or do you have to have the money by the end of the year?

If anyone has gone there, could you please tell me things about the college that isn't on the website.. Like, things they have during the year that you dont see but is a really good asset. Also, is their food good? How were the housing halls? Anything you'd like to tell me?

hey:) id like to know what exactly is a college credit??cuz the college i will join says that each credit is like for 360 and you can take a maximum of 12....im confused??:[

When to ask your guidance counselor...

Hi.
I'm will be going into 10th grade in the fall, and I was wondering when was a good time to start talking to my guidance counselor about colleges?
I want to apply for as many scholarships as possible because my parents will only pay for a school "within driving distance" of home.
Should I wait until junior year?

Wake Forest

I am a junior in high school and my parents told me that I should start looking at colleges. I am beginning to get interested in Wake Forest, but I've only looked at their website and that's it. If someone could give me a little more info about the college it would really help. Thanks.

What is a college preparatory program?

Where do you take this kind of program? I want to apply to a private liberal arts university and it says that apart from a high school diploma, you also need to have completed a college prep program. Do these things cost money to take? And how early in high school can you take it? Thank you! =]

Difference between E-ACT and ACT?!

This college says it accepts certain 'college level' scores for the E-ACT.
I took the ACT, is that the same? I meet the requirements for the ACT.. so is that the same as E-ACT?

Early Childhood Education

Hi, I can't wait to go to school. I'm going on 19 and unfortunatley havnt gone yet. I want to save some money before attending and plan to go within the year. My question is what is the most I can do with and ECE degree/diploma. I have always been interested in owning my own daycare centre. What other courses do I need to make that possible. If anyone has gotten an ECE degree recently, what were your struggles? What were your most valuable moments during school and after? And what route did you take to get your degree. Anyones opinions and experiences would be great, working and teaching children is a passion of mine and I would love to hear what you have to say. Thank You in advance!

I would like to get a head start on a vacation for spring break, any suggestions...no MTV Spring Blings or anything like that, it can be extreme fun like the spring bling but just no television shows or tv cast

hey^_^ i want to ask how wuz it like your very first day of college?were you guys nervous and scared?is it easy making freinds in college or are people going to act mean?im actually a very freindly person who likes getting to know new people but since im going to travel to america for college im kinda nervous about how to make freinds and how people might act>.<what are some tips that you as college students suggest i do to make a good impression and have many freinds?

going away present

ive recently graduated and my boyfriend and i are going away to different colleges. I know i know, most people say that high school relationships usually dont last once people go the opposite ways after graduation but we are pretty faithful and sure that we will make it through this. So, i wanted to get him like a bag of things he can take with him to college so he will have stuff to remember me and feel less homesick because he is practically going across the country. If you are a guy what would you want from your girlfriend to think about her? and if your a girl what you want to give your boyfriend?

It would be especially helpful if there were some that anyone knows of in new york state. it would definitely help me narrow down my search.

Does anyone on here attend this college? If you do, then I need to know how much you pay for tuition because I live in Florida and I really like this college and want to attend, but how on earth am I going to afford it? I know I can apply for financial aid and scholarships, but I need to know how much you generally pay for tuition per year.

Who's Who among American High School Students

Everyone says Who's Who among American High School Students is a phony. But how come on some applications and things that my guidance councelor have given me it says mark box if you have received any honor listed..and then it's there? Ton's of people say it's a phony, but is it really?

Okay, so i have a brag sheet i need to fill out this summer. If anyone doesn't know what that is, it's basically telling all about your high school career and any awards, or activities you have been apart of throughout your years in highschool. Okay, so It says

For those of you who have gone to college and FINISHED, was it worth it? Truthfully?
How did you stay committed and motivated?
Was it really hard? Are community colleges hard?
What are the classes like.. because I'm not going to lie.. it makes me nervous. I dont want to be wandering around and get lost or whatever.
Better than highschool or worse..?
I'm just very anxious.

Art careers

I am thinking of maybe going to university next year after I finish high school. I really want a career in art but I have no idea what I could possibly do.
I don't want to do like technology or anything involving computers ie: graphic artist etc.
I also know that I can't just be an artist because no artists make any money until they die anyway.
What careers could I possibly think about so I know what to do in uni?
