vegan/vegetarians

Posted Thursday July 5 2007, 10:35 pm

I have two friends who have decided to become vegans/vegetarian. Please tell me if theres a difference. I've heard there is but I'm not very educated on this type of stuff. Also, thay keep telling me that being a vegetarian is way more healthy. I don't think thats true because they don't get protein from meat. I respect they're lifestyle choice and I'm not trying to say that they're wrong or anything like that but is it really healthier or what?
kthnx for the help,

Cottage Cheese.. Healthy ?

Posted Tuesday July 3 2007, 8:09 pm

Lets say I ate 6 light meals everyday. Each meal has cottage cheese in it. Like I could have cottage cheese and a piece of fruit for one meal. Then for the next I could have cottage cheese and yogurt. Then cottage cheese and tuna sandwich. Cottage cheese and crackers. And stuff like that, that are healthy. Would it be healthy to eat like that? Should I eat more or less ? I just want to know what I could eat. Thanks

Starbucks nerd :]].

Posted Wednesday June 27 2007, 12:14 pm

Hi! Well I'm not soo sure this goes in the right category but I've never gotten anything from Starbucks so I want to order something good but not something they would think impossible of making because then I would look like a total idiot (haha). So is this impossible:

Tall, hot, non-fat, double shot mocha frappucchino with extra foam and some of vanilla (if they can for the vanilla part)

Thanks<33.

Weird food.

Posted Monday June 25 2007, 6:50 pm

Moments ago I made french fries, I was looking for an alternative to ketchup (because it gets old) and came up with garlic ketchup. More simply, it's ketchup with garlic powder mixed in. It's not bad.

My question is, however, what are some weird foods/combos that are enjoyable?

PMS+BINGEING?

Posted Sunday June 24 2007, 12:34 am

I'm a teenage girl. My periods have been regular for a number of years, and I get THE WORST PMS EVER! Like I'll have it for 1 and a half-3 weeks of the month, and my symptoms are as follows:

I get really bad, intense cravings for unhealthy food. Even when I'm full, my body won't let me stop eating. I binge uncontrollably. I'm always pissed about some random thing. I'm moody as heck. I sometimes feel bloated(like air in your stomach). I gain 2-10 pounds. I have no energy. I get horrible headaches. I get horrible vaginal cramps. I'm extremely irritable.

what can i do to reduce the severity/length of my pms?

(i already exercise and eat right)

any advice is appreciated.

Addicted to weight loss... eating disorder?

Posted Saturday June 23 2007, 6:20 pm

I'm a 19 year old girl. Bear with me: this is long.

I've always been heavy, and I recently topped out at about 225 lbs. That was a month ago, and now I'm down to 208. I struggled with binge eating disorder from about age 10 until recently, so I was used to that. But now things are changing.

I started off by dieting. I started to lose some weight. Then I started to cut calories. I live with my boyfriend, so he got worried. I stopped cooking enough food for the both of us, and gave him most of it so that I didn't have to rationalize my not eating.

Now I've got a new job, and it involves a lot of exercise. I've been losing weight at the rate of 1-2 pounds a day since starting. I've been sk...

Balancing Meals

Posted Saturday June 23 2007, 5:33 pm

I have a weird question. Lets say one day you have a lot of variety of foods. Fruits, veggies, nuts, eggs, milk, cereal, etc. Then, by the end of the day you have a cookie or two. Would that be ok to do since it would be balancing it out? If you had a lot of nutrients & good foods throughout the day, does a treat hurt it? or does it balance it & not really do anything? Thanks!!
